More release date changes in Hollywood. This time, it's Relativity Media's upcoming family-fantasy film Mirror Mirror, directed by Tarsem Singh and starring Lily Collins, Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer and Sean Bean. According to Exhibitor Relations, film will now hit theatres on March 30th, and it will go against the Jonathan Liebesman-directed sequel Wrath of the Titans. More below:

"Snow White is on the move. Relativity's MIRROR MIRROR would rather face off against WRATH OF THE TITANS than 21 JUMP STREET as it moves to 3/30 from 3/16."

Mirror Mirror was previously set for March 16th release, the same day Sony's 21 Jump Street is being released, as well as one week after Andrew Stanton's John Carter. Now, Tarsem Singh's film will be released on the same day as Clash of the Titans sequel, starring Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson and Rosamund Pike. It will be interesting to see how will this play out when both films are released.

Hmm...a Greek mythological film featuring plenty of large creatures and set on a grand scale, or a fairy tale that looks as kid friendly and cheesy as possible? Not sure which to pick.

Doesn't really make sense, either way. Why are they trying to sell it like a tentpole, when it clearly isn't one?

The more and more people and other company executives see John Carter stuff, the more the word of mouth is building. Executives are smart and want to stay away from it. Opening weekend will do really well, but JC is gonna make a boat load of cache over a long period. Just sayin...
