A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Worthington) --the demigod son of Zeus (Neeson)--is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades (Fiennes) and Poseidon (Danny Huston). The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramirez), switch loyalties and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon's demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

God this movie will be terrible, but damn it I love this franchise. Anything that has to do with Ancient Greece I will watch. Even the immortals wasn't that great but I loved it. This is the kind of movie you just go in, turn off your brain and watch the shit hit the fan. The plot will be terrible, the acting mediocre, but the fight scenes will be terrific which is all anyone cares about.

Here's hoping it's great, because I think the trailer looks pretty great. Sick-looking creatures, Chimera, Minotaur, and Kronos in particular.

This really does have a God of War feel to it. Few differences though - Eg The protagonist is trying to save Zeus not kill him, The protagonist is trying to protect his family not avenge them after killing them, The protagonist looks like he's never been to a gym and doesn't look like Bill Goldberg's crazy older brother lol.

I want to know where Io has gone to. Did she die giving birth to Perseus' son or what?

I know people hate the first one, but I thought it was an alright popcorn flick. Any way I'll probably catch this one too cause like some other people I just like greek mythology films in general. Which brings me to the question, why hasn't modern Hollywood attempted a Hercules film? I think the 12 trials he had to perform and the whole reason why he had to perform the trials as atonement for the killing of his sons would make a basis for a good movie.

@Makio yeah I 'm sure the Andromeda is supposed to be the same character, but they didn't even dye Rosamunds hair .. so how are they gonna explain her getting hair dye from the first to the second film?
