Sam Worthington Promises Big Improvements In Wrath Of The Titans!

The actor admits that Clash of the Titans could have been better and promises that the sequel will learn from past mistakes and that he can "act f**king better"...

In a recent interview with Moviefone, the star of Avatar and Terminator: Salvation admitted that one of his most recent movies, Clash of the Titans was not as good as it could or should have been. Below he talks about how he think that both he and the makers will rectify those problems as well as why the internet was a helpful source in coming up with those solutions.

"I just think we can improve on it. I think the first one, we kind of let down some people. And yeah, I totally agree. The only point of doing a sequel is either the audience demands it or you believe you can better the first one. What we're setting out to do with this one - the writers and the director and myself - is improve. I think I can act [frick]ing better, to be honest...Just take all the notes from people that I have been reading about on the 'net and give them a movie they [frick]ing want. This one I want to kind of try to satisfy a lot more people."

"I've always said you make movies for an audience, that's who you make movies for. If the audience is speaking, it's like the old gladiator thing, they give us the thumbs up/thumbs down, you want to stay alive in that coliseum as long as you can."

Wrath of the Titans is set to be released on March 30, 2012!

I liked the first one also but they can definately improve it if it is filmed in 3d .

@Thunderforce - 3D and live action don't jive well together... I'm a no for 3D for this....

I like Worthington as a person. He says what he thinks. I'm not sure if I like him as an actor. I enjoyed him in Salvation, he was ok in Avatar but in Titans he was pretty bad. That might be more to do with the writing though.

For some reason I'm betting they steal the story of Theseus and have Perseus fighting the minitour.

Yeah, I suppose you've got to give him credit for being honest about the movies problems - he doesnt have much of a choice when the majority of fans and critics hated though! I enjoyed it...the 3D was an abomination, but it was an "ok" movie IMO. Still, it's not his acting he should worry aboout. It's that dodgy [frick]ing accent! :D

I will give him another chance because he admits the flaws with the first one. Give us a story to watch and not just a bunch of scenes with no character development anywhere to be found.

Heh, I really enjoyed that film. Best movie of 2010 in my opinion. For the sequel, they need to bring back the Kraken.

Anyway, I hated it..muchly. But fair play to Sammy boy for admitting that he can act better. I have seen him much better!

I neither hated nor loved it. A 6/10 movie. Yes, they could do better and I hope they do. Can't have too many fantasy movies so I'm happy to give them another chance.

I didn't like it either. the story had no sense and character arc was bad handled. But i like this guy's attitude. I just wish one thing for the sequel... Sam, if you are reading this, CHANGE YOUR [frick]ING HAIRSTYLE FOR THE NEXT MOVIE! An ancient greek warrior with a marine hair cut... yeah, right...

I like Worthington, but think Clash was a worthless piece of crap. I'm not sure how you could make a worse movie, but the original Clash was so much better in every way, they should have stayed true to it or left it alone. I can't think of anything I liked about the new Clash. The whole point of it seemed to be that man doesn't need any gods. Not really planning on giving a sequel a chance. The first one killed it for me.

I liked Clash. I would have liked to see more bad-ass Gemma. I say try as hard as you want on the sequel but don't mind [frick] it.

Wow, Sam's pretty cool. Here's a guy who actually responds to people's criticisms, and wants to give the audience, as a whole, what they want, while admitting that his own film had flaws.

Stay classy, Sam!

SAMWORTH, I'LL GIVE HIM ONE THING, HE'S BLUNT, HE'S HONEST, AND IF HE THINKS OF SOMETHING HE DOESN'T HOLD BACK ANYTHING...THAT DUDE IS REAL. AND ITS COOL THAT HE LISTENS TO WHAT WE SAY, ALOT OF CRAP WAS SAID ABOUT TITANS AND IM GLAD HE TOOK ALL OUR GOOD AND BAD STUFF AND IS MAKING AN EFFORT TO ADDRESS TO US"YEAH I EFFED UP, BUT DARNIT IM GONNA FIX IT". GOOD FOR YOU DUDE, NOW...IMPRESS US.

The only thing I didn't like about the first film was that it felt too short, plus two of the creatures from the original weren't in it (the giant vulture and the two-headed dog). Other then that, I liked it but I do hope the sequel is better.

Its hard to act great if the script [frick]ing sucks! Lets face it! Even Neeson and Fiennes where bad in this movie!:)
I really hope they have better writers in this second one and more time to make it great and not just rush with it!

I heard they cut lots of scenes from it! Maybe if they would have keeped the cut scenes, it would have been more solid?! I would like to see the directors cut version of the first movie!

Still, yes to a much better sequel!

THINGS I DIDNT LIKE IN CLASH OF THE TITANS, HERE GOES....

DIDN'T LIKE THE WAY THEY CHANGED THE LOVE INTREST...

THE ORIGINAL ONE HAD A TRUE LOVE STORY, YOU GOT INVESTED INTO IT, THE JOURNEY WAS FOR ANDROMEDA, IT WAS WARRANTED, BUT IN THE NEW ONE YOU GOT GEMMA( WICH YOU SHOULDA JUST MADE ANDROMEDA) AND IT ALL FELT JUST THROWN IN. AND ANDROMEDA, YOU HAD HER STUCK IN TOWN UNTIL THEY STRUNG HER BUTT UP. THE OLDSCHOOL ANDROMEDA HAD THAT SPUNK, LIKE THAT "SHOOT, IM COMING ALONG, YOU ALL ARE MY BITCHES".

THE KRAKEN..

THE THING LOOKED LIKE CLOVERFIELD, I MEAN THE FIRST TIME I SAW IT I SAID, "LOL CLOVERFIELD!"...IT WAS HUGE. THE OLDSCHOOL KRAKEN WAS STOP ANIMATION BUT STILL, I LIKED THE OLD ONE THAN THE NEW...

CALABOS...

OLDSCHOOL ONE BY FAR WAY BETTER THAN THE NEW ONE, I LIKED BETTER THAT HE WAS THE SON OF A GOD THAT HUNTED THE FLYING HORSIES AND LIVED IN THE SWAMP BECAUSE ZUES GOT PISSED AND HIT HIM WITH A FUGLY STICK, THE NEW ONE JUST WASN'T AS COOL LOOKING, AND YOU HAD HIM AS PERSEUS'S REAL DAD? OLDSCHOOL WAY HE MET HIS DEMISE WAS WAY MORE FITTING.

MEDUSA..

I MEAN SHE WAS COOL, YOU MADE HER FASTER, SHE WAS EVEN PRETTY, BUT SHOOT IF I WAS A JEALOUS GOD AND WANTED TO GET BACK AT A PRETTY PERSON ID MAKE HER UGLY TOO. GRANTED THE OLDSCHOOL FX WERE NOT AS CUTTING EDGE AS TODAY BUT DAM THAT SCARY FEELING..IN THE DARK..THERES THIS SLOW TENSION, MEDUSA LOOKING LIKE A WITCH, THERE WAS A FEAR THERE. THE NEW ONE, THOUGH SHE WAS QUICKER, THE AREA THEY WERE ROMPING THROUGH WAS LIKE A THREE STORY MAZE OF PILLARS AND PITFALLS. BUT IT WASNT AS NERVING AS THE OLD ONE...

THE STIGIAN WITCHES..OR ATTACK OF THE HUMAN MELON HEADS...

LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE THROUGH A CANTALOPE AT THEIR FACE AND IT STUCK, THATS A WTF LOOK RIGHT THERE.

THE PLUS AND REQUEST...

GEMMA WAS THE PLUS..IF WE CAN GET HER IN REALLY SEXY CLOTHING AND THROW IN A SEX SCENE..YOU WILL TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF IN MY EYES.
OK THATS IT.
