We have already heard a little from Hinds about his interpretation of The Devil in the upcoming "quasi-sequel" to Ghost Rider. But here he uses a favorite adjective of the Irish to describe the movie, something we all probably guessed from seeing the trailers anyway. He also hints at a fight scene between he and Nicholas Cage's Johnny Blaze..
"It's a genre I don't know. That was something I didn't think I would ever be involved in. I do Shakespeare! I wear breeches and do Jane Austen! And then this is just mad, so different. I don't know how it'll turn out - probably just this mad kind of film that certain people of a certain age will get into."
"Playing the Devil in human form - I didn't know what level to play it at. They just said, 'Give us your stuff', but it's not fire and brimstone."
Hinds also gives us a tease of a scene involving his character Rourke and Johnny Blaze. It seems these characters will only meet once in the movie, and ol Satan comes out the worse for wear..
"I did get to meet Nic Cage, which was a thrill. A very nice, very professional man. Very good, very sharp," he commented. "We only had one scene, where he gave me a punch in the jaw and sent me miles away!"
We will get a chance to see if those decidedly mixed reviews were accurate when
Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance hits February 17th.
