Idris Elba Briefly Talks Ghost Rider Sequel; Confirms His Return As 'Heimdall' For THOR 2!

Talking to IGN at this year's San Diego Comic Con, Idris Elba shared some more info on his character in Neveldine/Taylor's upcoming comic book film, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Plus he briefly confirmed his return as 'Heimdall' in Marvel's sequel THOR 2, currently set to hit theatres on July 26, 2013.



Brief, but very cool nonetheless. It's always good to hear a confirmation, especially since Elba was great as Heimdall.

He was cool in The Losers, I kinda began to hate him in The Office, but that's cause of the character he played, and He stole the show for me in Thor, he was grade A badass there. He's a hell of an actor, he has talent. I'm sure he'll be the only positive thing I'll like in Ghost Rider, which by the way, is a stupid nonsense character.

he is completey different then Ryan Reynolds at least Idris Elba starred in a succesful comic book movies. Ryan Reynolds starred in 3 comic book movies and they all failed

He was awesome as Heimdall. I can't wait for Triple H to play Luke Cage. No, but seriously, I agree he brought a lot to the character.

I was pissed that Hogan didn't have a moustache and he didn't have his horned cap. I didn't like that Volstagg didn't have his hat although it would have been kind of silly. And I liked Heimdall's looks except that it was nothing like the comics. (That's not a racist joke!)

The only actor switch that didn't jar me was Dumbledore. But Howard to Cheedle, Norton to Ruffalo, Holmes to the new ugly Rachael Dawes are all drastic. But getting a new Odin will be a disaster on an entirely different level.
