Hasbro cant be too happy with the buzz surrounding the below video. This brings up lots of questions for instance: Why is the soundtrack to Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen playing in the back ground? Why are the producers of this film relying on the Accelerator Suits so heavily in G.I. Joe? We all know what happens when a film relies to much on Special Effects. I have hope for this movie and so far from what I have seen (save Destro) it looks at least half way decent. But what conclusion do you logically come to from a promo like this?

Come on, end of the day, like TRANSFORMERS, GI JOE is gonna be for the kids!!!

Lets just hope like JMAN said its half decent! Personally i still think 'DARK HORSE'! ; )

What an overblown ad for such a rubbish looking toy! I bet that helmet doesnt even come off..but i guess the kids will love it. The movie too probably.

This is CLEARLY a private ad for toy investors. This was never intended to be viewed by the general public. It was made for WalMart and Toys R Us Execs. RELAX.
That said this movie is still gonna be the WILD WILD WEST of 2009.

Im a Joe colletor. I started in the 70's. So Leee777's pics mean something to me. This toy clip from Hasbro make me want to vomit. I am somewhat versed in the Joe lore of the '80s and was really looking forward to this movie. Now not so much. Lets hope the movie plays well. The "suit", however, is a joke to me. To show my bias, I would rather see an Adventure Team movie but I guess those hippies aren't cool.

These suits make me want to puke. The CGI makes me want to puke. Was excited about Ray Park as Snake Eyes and about seeing Storm Shadow, but judging how badly this trainwreck is starting to look I doubt Sommers did them any justice (save for their outfits but they were already cool to begin with.) The Joes were cool because each one had an individual talent or persona. Accelacrap Suits takes away from this. Shipwreck could be done if handled well-WITH NO PARROT. Maybe a small ref to the bird a la VW Bumblebee in TF 1. Should have focused on making the vehicles look more like their counterparts with a little more of a realistic touch. COOL VEHICLES AND BIG GUNS IS WHAT MADE JOES KICK ASS. Not Cyborg Karate Action Suits. Freakin Master Chief Knock-OFFS.

Leee-those accelacrap suits take away from Snake Eyes awesomeness. Now everyone can leap 20 feet in the air or cartwheel through a moving bus. And now that these suits seem to have built in chain-guns, how are swords going to stop that??? This new gen of kids will never know the awesomeness we knew as Snake Eyes as we did when we were kids. Disappointed, but at least I can see the concept at least come to fruition in some way in live-action. Rest of the movie? Not so much. Did you know they actually wanted SNAKE EYES to talk at the end? Bet they would have made him sappily said Yo Joe at some crucial self sacrificial juncture in the movie. Then they would have hinted at him surviving somehow a la Baraka/Deadpool in ORIGINS. LAME>:]

I don't care if they are from sigma six, they look cheesy as hell and I imagine they add nothing to the plot. They remind me of Batman's arctic suite with the ice skates. Sure the kids enjoyed the action figures but it didn't belong in the movie.

yes lilej2 I can honestly say it doesn't look cool, in fact it looks creepy and when I was small I usually got bored with the "do everything" kind of toys 30 minutes after opening the box, I mean over 120 frases from the movie? how many frases does duke have in the movie? and do you really want to pump a lever in his ass to make him run?

the ones I really liked were the ones that I could use my imagination to play with (the original Gi-joes were cool, I used to make their bases inside the roots of trees and I could decide what they said, how they moved, etc), not the ones that seemed like they were using you (that is why I never played race tracks alone... what was the point... seeing cars loop?),

bamf I do remember that movie, the only good scene in it was the killer barbies.

Everything about this movie screams filth! This thing is going to suck the balls off a brass monkey. And with everyone wearing the same cheesy "accelerator suit", how the hell do you tell anyone apart? That was never a problem on the original series. And no, they didn't look like the Village People in the TV series, and they wouldn't in a live-action film that had any talent at all in the costuming department. I also hate that they're not "real AMERICAN heroes" now. What, we don't want to teach the kids that our country is the "good guys"? Filth-infested garbage!

There is one good thing coming out of this: the original series is being re-released on DVD. I can't wait to see them again on a screen larger than my computer's (many of them are on YouTube if you know where to look for them). I just wish I could afford that footlocker with the whole series and all kinds of cool extras that's coming out a little later! That thing is freaking sweet!
