Big news concerning Season Two of Arrow has been made available and it is that John Barrowman will return as Malcolm Merlyn AKA The Dark Archer. TV Line has gotten word that he will return for at least two episodes. They theorize that he will return as a ghost or in a flashback or dream sequence.

Personally, I think there's a strong possibility that he's still alive. We did see him on the ground in the Season One finale, but it was only for a moment. He looked somewhat lifeless, but unless he was rendered asunder or buried, I'm not entirely convinced of the character's demise. I'm aware that producers have stated that the new season will feature two big bads - Summer Glau playing a business rival and a physical threat yet to be named- so I'm sure that Malcolm will play a limited, yet significant role. Don't forget The League of Assassins play a big part this year and Malcolm did drop the Nanda Parbat reference last season.

Arrow premiers Wednesday, October 9 on The CW. If you need some catching up, a Year One special will air this Wednesday, October 2.

Wouldn't be hugely surprised if he wasn't dead. He's Arrow's biggest name and they'll want to make the most of it flashback/ghost or living

With the Flash coming in I could totally see Tommy coming back.

Think about it, Tommy's Dad is connected to the League of Assassins right? Well, guess who runs that? Ra's al Ghul. What has he got that restored his life a billion times? The Lazarus pit. I could totally see the League dig up Tommy for some reason ("he was destined to become the dark archer" or something like that) and resurrect him in Lazarus pit.

I actually think this would be a good idea. Why? The writers have done a good job at flipping ideas on us, just as soon as we think we know what they're doing they do the opposite. I could see them killing Tommy so we would think he will never become the Dark Archer but then have him come back to an Oliver who lied to him or ultimately killed his father (if he survived season 1). Then of course Tommy would seek revenge on Oliver for all he had done.

Plus I would love the guy that plays Tommy to come back, because I really liked it as the show progressed to him starting to get a more serious character. Seeing him ultimately going down the darker path would be interesting.

I could see him being back, however I was hoping for Slade to be the physical baddie but this could be cool. No Onomatopoeia, even Kevin Smith, the character's creator said he wouldn't work in live action.

Onomatopoeia!!! One of the most original characters in a while. I don't know if he'd translate well to tv though.

Yes! Onomatopoeia! He'd be great as some kind of sadistic insane killer.
