'William Tockman', a.k.a. 'The Clock King' Is Coming To ARROW

Just when you thought the CW series couldn't get any better, it has today been revealed that an actor is being sought to play classic 'Green Arrow' villain 'William Tockman', a.k.a. 'The Clock King'! Oh, and there's a rather FLASHy reason that we keep hearing that particle accelerator mentioned...

According to TV Line's ever reliable "Ask Ausiello" column, Clock King is coming to Arrow later this season! Their sources tell them that the hunt is currently on for an actor in his 40s or 50s to play the villain, while the casting call describes William Tockman as having, "the mind of a chess grandmaster, and can envision all the interlocking pieces of Starling City and adjust them in favor of his crimes." Who do you guys think would be a suitable choice for the role? In related news, when one reader asked about the numerous particle accelerator mentions in this season of the hit CW series, they were told that it will be a "problem" for Barry Allen. As many fans have suggested, it seems that the device will indeed play a role in how the scientist gains his powers and becomes The Flash! Stay tuned to CBM for more Arrow news as the second season rolls on.

I do hope they base him stylistically on the Batman: The Animated Series version of the character. I dig the fact that the original Clock King (the William Tockman version) was an enemy of the Green Arrow, but B:TAS gave us a much more interesting look and feel for the Clock King-- one that would work PERFECTLY on Arrow, with some minor tweaks.

He was featured in the first season of the Batman: The Animated series from what I remember. I'm curious to see Arrows take on the character.

Ok, is this "Ask Ausiello" column as "ever reliable" as, according to Wilding, the "ever reliable" el Mayimbe? Because if it is that "ever reliable," I'll wait for confirmation before getting excited about it. Lol

The new 52 Clock King is similar 'Proposition Joe' from the wire and comes off as a realistic crime boss. That version of the character would fit well into the Arrow universe.

Sick. My only exposure to the character is from Batman: TAS, so I'm curious to see how Arrow handles it.

Can't wait for the episode tomorrow. :D

I feel like Amell and Gustin are both capable of being in a big budget superhero movie. I would suggest a Green Arrow/Green Lantern team up once the DCCU has their Hal.
