Mark Strong's casting as Sinestro in Martin Campbell's space adventure
Green Lantern. Last night he teased fans with another scoop from behind the scenes via his verified Twitter account:
Salaak is an extraterrestrial Green Lantern Corps member from the planet Slyggia. He has the appearance of an insect humanoid with orange skin and four arms. He is a veteran of most of the Green Lantern campaigns and is considered both a pessimist and a loner.
That makes a total of
five confirmed Lanterns besides Hal Jordan: Abin Sur, Tomar Re, Kilowog, Salaak and Sinestro. What has yet to be revealed by the studio is whether the non-human Lanterns will be mainly composed of CGI or whether they are leaning towards more practical effects (i.e. guys in suits).
