An article over at
Vulture (a source known to be fairly reliable) have posted a story on Blake Lively and her career, and I couldnt help but spot what both a Hollywood manager and agent had to say when asked about her role in Warner Bros'
Green Lantern as well as an interesting bit of info mentioned by the site themselves.
And both are also quick to say that should the forthcoming Green Lantern flop (and it's been a troubled production), it won't hurt Lively much. Says the manager, "Whatever the mistakes were with Green Lantern, she needs to not react to them and do an indie movie just because a big superhero movie didn't work. It's always about the role and the director. The hotter the person, the easier it is, and she's very hot right now." The agent adds, "Even though Green Lantern is supposed to be terrible, it doesn’t mean it’s not going to do extremely well and enhance her foreign value. Clash of the Titans was horrendous, but it didn’t slow down Sam Worthington any."
While I don't think it's worth reading
too much into this, I still think it's interesting to note what the insider has to say about it being a "terrible" movie. Despite some fans not being too happy with the CGI on display in the trailer, the reaction seems to have been a positive one for the most part, making me wonder what caused them to make such a claim. Add in
Vulture's mention of it being a troubled production, and
Green Lantern might not be the hit everyone is expecting! Be sure to share your thoughts on this in the usual place!
Green Lantern is set to be released in 3D on June 17, later this year!
