Matt Lanter will be best known to many of you for lending his voice to Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars, but he's finally set to enter the world of superheroes when he suits up as Skyfox in Jupiter's Legacy.

Talking to CBR about the Netflix series, the actor answered a fan question about whether he would be interested in taking on the role of Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern Corps reboot.

"Well, to that I would say, Green Lantern, my name is Matt Lanter. I mean is that coincidental? I think not. Could anyone do it better than Lanter? Maybe not. No shame, Ryan Reynolds. I'm just kidding. I love Ryan Reynolds, he's fantastic," the actor continued. "Would I be open to it? Yeah, sure, why not!"

Last week, Finn Wittrock was cast as Guy Gardner in the Green Lantern TV series coming to HBO Max, while a synopsis confirmed that the focus will be on him and Alan Scott. As a result, we're banking on Hal returning in Green Lantern Corps when John Stewart makes his big screen debut.

Would Lanter be a fitting choice to play the character? Well, he definitely looks the part, and while he may not be a huge star, Jupiter's Legacy could help put him on the map in a major way.

I can actually see it. Don't know how well he does in live-action though, I'm more familiar with him as a voice-actor

I liked him in Timeless and he did well in a good show

@SimplyAz - I once considered to watch Timeless, but I don't remember what stopped me. Pretty sure it wasn't because of Lanter

It was a solid show and I'm a sucker for anything with Time Travel.

Timeless and Travelers were both time travel related and I had a good time with both, although Travelers was more the deeper show.

@SimplyAz - maybe time-travel was the reason I lost part of my interest. Not really the biggest fan of time travel (and yes, that also goes for Endgame. Even if they got the rules of it right)

Its weird how he never caught on in the film industry. He's a solid actor, voice actor and has that pretty boy look Hollywood seems to usually go for.
Maybe he ruined his reputation with doing Vampires Suck and Disaster Movie but it's still a shame nevertheless.

He'd make a good Hal but they might want to go for someone a tad older

He does look the part.

My pick for Hal Jordan is Eric Winter from the Rookie. I reckon he would also be great for Cyclops.
