Last week's episode of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! saw our heroes travel to Asgard after escaping the Black Vortex and discovering a secret Darkhawk invasion. It is in Asgard where they learned the Darkhawks were created by Odin's brother Serpent in an attempt to conquer the city.

While they successfully managing to prevent the invasion and rescuing Rocket from the Darkhawk Realm, the Guardians must still contend with Serpent in this week's episodes. They'll find themselves teaming up with Odin and his two sons, Thor and Loki, to try and subdue Serpent.

Marvel has released a new clip from "Holding Out For A Hero," the first of two episodes airing this Sunday.

“Holding Out For A Hero” (9:30 – 10:00PM ET/PT)
The SERPENT attacks Asgard and infects the World Tree! The Guardians have to team up with Loki to try to stop the Serpent before he destroys the universe.

“With A Little Help From My Friends” (10:00 – 10:30PM ET/PT)
As the Guardians prepare to take the fight to the SERPENT, they Bifrost around the galaxy gathering reinforcements. But will it be enough to challenge the biggest bad the Guardians have ever faced?

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! airs Sunday, June 2, on Disney XD and DisneyNOW.

Why is Marvel sill using this animation style. I've seen crowd funded animations that looks miles better than this.

Animation looks uninspired and lazy... also all these Disney XD Marvel shows are terrible.

I must be stuck in the 80's and 90's (aka the last time I watched adventure cartoons) but I like the animation..... well actually, I like the designs and color scheme choices. The animation itself does seem a bit lazy, but I really dig the designs themselves.

The voice acting is terrible though.

But aside from the quality of the animation itself... the designs and color schemes remind me of some of my favorites from my day.
