Netflix recently announced that She-Ra and the Princesses of Power would return for more animated adventures on April 26, and now we have a first look at the season 2 poster that was unveiled during Emerald City Comic-Con (ECCC) over the weekend.

The promo banner features Adora and her old friend turned greatest foe, Catra.

In the season 1 finale, She-Ra, Bow, Glimmer and co, managed to defeat the ferocious feline and her Horde forces, but this pushed Adora's former pal beyond redemption and saw her rise to the rank of Hordak's right-hand woman, which is potentially very bad news for The Princess Alliance.

Tell us, are you looking forward to season 2 of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power? Sound off in the usual place.

I need to check this out still... I’ve heard good things about it.

I did check out the relaunched DC Superhero Girls and that was pretty good.

I'd suspect the show is pretty great for girls, and S1 was pretty enjoyable for me too.

first season was great, it just needed a higher animation budget. if they improve on that in S2 then it would almost be perfect. brings memories of watching Teen Titans as a teen, but with a heavy layer of queerness on top.

First season had a good story, but the cheap animation killed everything good it had going for it. My daughter hated it, and we stopped watching after 3 episodes. But I got her to watch the original series and she loved it. I ended up having to buy all of She Ra and He Man on DVD. I'm not a great judge of what kids want to see, but something about the original keeps my kid glued to the TV. Personally I think it's the Shakespearean style voice acting.

Had the opportunity to meet Noelle Stevenson (the show's creator) on Saturday--nice lady. This show was quite the leap for her, after first making it big in comics with Lumberjanes and Nimona.
