Sony's Screen Gems has confirmed September 14, 2012 as the release date for the currently unnamed fifth Resident Evil film.

Milla Jovovich will again star, and it is currently unknown if Paul W.S. Anderson will be involved again.

Fun fact is that the last three films in the franchise were also released in September.
