No More Hulk for Eric Bana

No More Hulk for Eric Bana

Since Edward Norton doesn't sound enthusiastic about returning to the Hulk, ComingSoon.net asked Eric Bana if he is still interested in reprising the role...

It definitely was a longshot but with Ed Norton having so many problems with Marvel during the marketing of The Incredible Hulk, we decided to ask Bana if maybe we'd see him back in the role someday.

CS: I hate to ask about "The Hulk" because that seems like another life for you, but Ed Norton seems hesitant about doing more with Marvel, so do you think they might bring you back rather than having a fourth actor playing the character?

Bana: No chance of that happening. It's just something that I've done and I'm moving on forward. My road panned out different and I'm happy with the road I'm on.

Bana is awful, I have only seen him once in a film where he wasn't. That was Star Trek, by the way.

Sometimes CBM is like the News of the World or the National Enquirer of comic book sites. (for a while there when we had the Golden Age of Boobage on the site, it was a bit like the Sun). Okay, maybe not as bad as those tabloids, but what about Norton's comments indicate that he doesn't want to be the Hulk anymore? Norton simply said "no comment" when he was asked recently. Which is what every other person that is contracted to Marvel does a lot of until Marvel gives them permission to comment. Even Favreau was all about the "no comment" until recently. As far as Bana, it's a shame that it didn't work out (even his name was cool, Bana / Banner), but I think that Norton was an excellent choice.

FateSucks get real! Trek was probably Banas most uneven performance! The guy is a class actor. Chopper, Munich, he was the only good thing about Troy, and hes the stand out in Funny People..which is great, check it out, even though im not usually an Adam Sandler fan.

hey hey "with Ed Norton having so many problems with Marvel during the marketing of The Incredible Hulk".. WHEN the hell is this interview taking place??

it sounds too mid-2008.. the Norton situation against Marvel has lightened a bit.. this kind of news is just making things worse!!

No one wants to go back to a role when you've been replaced already. It's just integrity.

Norton is a great actor but Marvel definitely took a risk hiring him, he's just problematic and that's not the kind of person you want to hire when you know you have long term plans with the character.

I think Marvel made the mistake of not looking ahead when hiring Norton...

I prefer Norton's Banner to Bana's Banner, TIH was a much better film then Hulk.

I hope Norton is coming back as Hulk and it would be sweet if he had a cameo in Iron Man 2

What a dumb@ss question!!!

Why in the world would he????

ROR is right btw, Bana was great in Munich and he was the only good part about Troy (other than Brad Pitts' opening scene <--- That was AWESOME)!

Awww does that mean that Hulk not Fire Everything!
Hulk be sad.

Im glad he is not coming back, he sucked as Bruce Banner. If you're reading this Edward, please please please make 2 Hulk sequels and be in the Avengers (for at least a small role!). Then there never has to be a Hulk movie made ever again

Bana is awesome in quite a bit. And was better in the role of Banner than Norton. I realize I'm the only one saying this, but it doesn't make it any less true.

Like ror01 said, just watch Chopper. You will become a fan of Bana's. He is that good. Unless you're a blouse wearin Poodle walker. Then you may want to just stick with Sex and the Shitty.
