Deleted Scenes & Alternate Opening Sequence for Iron Man 2 Revealed!

Check out this low resolution clip revealing the alternate opening for Iron Man 2, deleted scenes from Tony Stark's Big Birthday Bash, and more!

Courtesy of my buddy "RealIronMan" of Spidermedia, we have a first full look at the scene featured in all the trailers, that is now only an alternate opening for the Iron Man 2. it's a low resolution, but cool enough for you to check it out below. And in addition to this, hes also unveiled a few deleted scenes that should have been in the movie.

I remember reading this scene in the novel based on the feature-film, and I used to wonder why they choose this over a hungover Tony Stark with a frustrated Pepper Potts. I thought it was a perfect way to show how Tony regained his eccentric manner, after supposedly changing his ways in the original 2008 Iron Man film. But looking at this now, I see why Jon Favreau and the crew did what they did.

As promised above, here are a few other deleted scenes from the film, that I honestly think would've given that same feeling from the first film, and fit with the sequel.

Anyhow, to see every special feature the film has to offer, be sure to get your Blu-ray/DVD copy of Iron Man 2, when it hits shelves September 28th!

Nice one MF. The opening is funny but I'm glad they ditched it. ..also, not to sound too picky, but there is no way he would have caught up to his helmet! John Favreau not a physics major apparently:)

You guys get the Kojak reference in the second clip? Duuuurty!

Kevberg, yep. Weight doesn't matter with gravity. Throw a penny off the Empire State building then follow it and see if you catch up;) Plus, he wasn't using the jets.

I guess I'm the only one who liked the alternate opening. Gives us a much better intro to Tony's fatal condition. It also introduces Tony's real arch nemesis: alcoholism! Kinda wish they kept the scene from the airplane as well. There could have been a lot more character development in this movie. Looking at these deleted scenes makes me have more respect for Farve and even less respect for Fergie, but I guess that's just what happens when you rush production of a film. TFA:CA is favored to be the biggest bomb of them all. They probably won't finish shooting that until mid October at the earliest.
