Favs To Rourke: No Fatties Allowed In Iron Man 2

Mickey Rourke has been told to slim down in preparation for his role as the Russian Villain Whiplash in Iron Man 2.

Favreau has ordered movie star Mickey Rourke to lose some weight in preparation for his upcoming role as Russian Villain Whiplash in Iron Man 2. Mickey Rourke has to shed the physic that shot him back in the lime light as Randy 'The Ram' Robinson in the critically acclaimed movie The Wrestler. Rourke gained 30 lbs of muscle to properly prepare for his role in "The Wrestler'. However that was the past, now moving right along into the future and Favs says its time to slim down. Rourke has been put on a strict diet and is only allowed to dine out once a week.

JUST CURIOUS, WHY WOULD ROURKE SPEND TIME IN A RUSSIAN PRISON TO GET A FEEL FOR HIS PART WHEN WHIPLASH IS NOT RUSSIAN OR SPENT TIME IN A RUSSIAN PRISON..MAYBE WHIPLASH IS A COVER FOR THE REAL VILLAIN HE'S PLAYING?

In the last few movies he was in they had so much makeup on him it didn't even look like him (not sure that's a bad thing). I just wonder how much time he will spend in the makeup chair for this movie.

As far as the losing weight, at least for a change it's because he's too muscular and not because he's a fatass.

Rourke was in great shape when he punched out jericho, and still is. i think what happened is that they didn't invision Whiplash as being all buff and muscular. Right now Rourke still has that wrestler's build (although he did seem to have slimmed a little by Wrestlemania).... maybe Favs wants a lean mean Whip, not a big muscular one...

Personally, i think its gay... jk!

Smolo, you hit the nail right on the head with this one. Movie stars have personal trainers. Rourke will prob be in the best shape out of anyone. Downey Jr had a fake chest and body altogether in the first Iron Man. Its obvious in several scenes. Go back and check.

I hope Whiplash is just a cover, I always got Whiplash confused with Constrictor, I always thought they were the same.

Crimson Dynamo would be a better fight anyway, he is also a cooler character.

Somebody help me here? Was titanum man the green suit and crimson dynamo was the red russian? Which one had a midget inside of him? My brother was the iron man fan and i picked up his comics when he quit reading? But i always thought whiplash was built (a little) and had the all black costume with the green ponytail. Keven please keep you ideas to yourself about the characters. lol ( fox might being listening)Whiplash was a whole different character then crimson. I'm glad their bringing the movies to the big screen but you cant be just making shit up while you go. You have to have standards man or they will just destroy the comicbooks we love.
