What we see here is the MARK IV Armor, it has subtle difference from the Mark III in the first Iron Man movie.:

Here is what might be the MARK V Armor, you could see the different shaped arc reactor on the chest. Of course how could I forget Rhodey inside the War Machine.:

here's the Mark V(?) and War Machine in full glory.:

But what you might have not noticed is/are the guy/s both our Metal Champions are fighting:

Who he/they might be? Because that doesn't look like whiplash!
Sound off what you think...

access: F*cking AWESOME pics man!

I'm loving the triangle arc chest thing in those pics. Looks very cool.

My guess is that he upgrades his armor to fight Whiplash.

Those giant mech suit guys in the last pic look bad-to-the-ass!

My guess for that is they are the creations of Justin Hammer.

For all the guys who said there are no differences between The Mark IV and the Mark VI except for the chest piece can SUCK IT.

(the armor at the end of the trailer is the MarK VI not V, the Mark V is the red and silver armor recently seen in toy form.)

Is it me, or is anyone getting a Hulkbuster vibe from those mech suit guys?...

@Tyler i totally agree with your Justin Hammer assessment. and no you're not the only one. maybe by the end of the film, Stark makes a deal with the gov't for Operation Hulkbuster?

ACCESS @ WTF you on about lol??? Didn't say the big guy was a GUARDSMAN???

All the guys in the suits in the background in the IRON MAN/WARMACHINE PIC with their face masks up!

They really do look like prototype Hulkbusters to me. Big, bulky, similar in design. Remember, the prototype Iron Man suit was silver, and these mech suits are silver too...(that's maybe reaching a bit though hehe)

Except this time, they're Iron-Manbusters :)

hey, i have a plot idea.
okay, so it hasn't really been specified on how Hammer really fits into all of this.
here's how i see it:
Justin Hammer is Stark's biggest competition and fanboy. he has some great military application ideas for Stark. so that they would basically co-op the Iron Man project. Stark blows him off and Hammer gets ticked.
after Hammer sees Vanko's hissy fit at the racetrack, Hammer employs him to take down Iron Man. also, he designs the War Machine armor for Rhodey hoping to play off of their friendship.
after Rhodey sticks with Stark and they brush off Vanko like a fly, Hammer designs the armor pictured in the above pics.
what do y'all think?

I bet Tony has to make a new suit because The Army stole the Mark 4 to make War Machine. Thats my idea because how else would they keep asking for it and then War Machine pops outta no where. Also, in the comic con footage u see Justin Hammer saying What do we have here or What have you done. Something like that I thought about the suit. Thats my guess.

Maybe Its Dynamo or maybe its a early version of Ultron. WHo knows.

in the trailer, they are shooting in all directions. there are more than one of these things. also, in the pic of war machine and iron man with their masks open, you can see a bunch of them standing in the background. it isn't going to be anyone spectacular, or any single villain from the comics.

in the comic-con footage, we see what looks like the military building war machine. (if not the military, then some other private organization that rhodey is in cahoots with, possible justin hammer's? maybe justin hammer sells the tech to the military?) they have a bunch of weapons laid out on a table and they're describing what they are. then they ask rhodey what he wants in the armor, and he says, "all of it".

when you take this footage from the new trailer and combine it with that scene in the comic-con footage, it seems to me like this other organization gets a hold of stark tech and finds a way to get rhodey to join up with them. they're probably trying to build an army of stark tech and rhodey doesn't agree with it, making rhodey join up with iron man to fight off the prototypes.

or like its been said, they could all be creations of justin hammer.

of course thats all my speculation, but you can't deny that it would make perfect sense.

The Crimson Dynamo in the game has a star-looking chest piece like one of the more recent ones in comics. I thought that'd be the one to make an appearance.

BUT THE FACT THAT IT MIGHT BE DYNAMO IS ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG.

@CornDog
dude the company Rhodey gets War Machine from is Hammer's company. The dude showing off weapons IS Justin Hammer!

Im guessing the Stark Secret they keep hinting at with those viral magazine articles has to do with whiplash and the stark family destroying his life. Maybe the Arc reactor tech was really whiplashes to begin with. Then they threw him into jail to cover it up. I dunno brainstorming here

What do you guys think?

Maybe the Mandrian is helping them and thats why they are in china. Maybe he is still after his army of iron soldiers and Hammer is the only one who can do that for him. hmmmm. just a guess

it cannot be the Crimson Dynamo or Titanium man because there are multiple suits there. The most likely scenario is that Justin Hammer built the suits and sent them against Tony (Iron Man) Stark

RemiMartini

There are a bunch of them (you can see them in the background of the 2nd screencap) so I'm guess that they're robots built by Sam Rockwell and aren't necessarily a real character. Think of them more like henchmen

Hey everyone watch the Iron Man 2 video game trailer, he is busting some baddies that look very similar to the ones in the pictures above. I'm guessing they're Hammer's or the military's. I'm guessing the government wanted Stark's stuff he says no, Hammer makes it for the military and War Machine. The Military suit guys go rogue or something or turn on Rhodey, he and Stark team up to kick ass.

You know what? I am so happy they got rid of Terrence Howard. How believable would he have been wearing that suit? Too soft. May is gonna be a good month for me.

My thoughts - I think the first several scenes could be a training exercise/weapons test with the Mark VI armor and the War Machine armor (to get a feel for the two of them fighting together). If you look at the first still of Stark and Rhodes they have their facemasks up and talking AND the "enemy" armor is just standing around waiting for them (NOT something that would happen in an actual fight). If you look at the background of the second still you will see that the enemy armor has narrow lighted faceplates (like a drone would have) and is all standing at attention (no weapons pointed towards Stark or Rhodes yet. Then, in the final still I believe that to be a shot of Titanium Man as he fights Iron Man in the movie at some point. Just my thoughts :)

pretty sweet plot line Hinkley - I would enjoy seeing that in the movie. Good job man!
