IRON MAN 3 Animatics Reveal Trevor Was Supposed To Have An Explosive Death

Storyboard artist, Federico D'Alessandro, has uploaded his Iron Man 3 animatics, that features scenes with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Rhodey (Don Cheadle), and Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley). That animatic with Trevor is the most tantalizing. As you remember, Tony figures out that the Mandarin is in Miami and he confronts this supposedly nasty villain. But, there's a twist! The man who has appeared on television as the Mandarin is actually a British actor with a substance abuse problem, named Trevor Slattery. Trevor, was hired by Aldrich (Guy Pearce) to pose as the terrorist mastermind, the Mandarin.
The last time we see Trevor, he seems to be enjoying his fame, basking in the attention as he is hauled off to jail through a an angry crowd of onlookers. But, originally the plan was to have Trevor show up at the impounded oil drilling platform. The location used throughout the climactic battle. There, Trevor comes up to a group of henchmen, that have Tony and Rhodey surrounded. What happens next? You'll have to watch the animatic below to find out.
