In some awesome news for Iron Man fans everywhere, Marvel and Disney have announced the construction of an Iron Man themed park in Hong Kong.
Just like in the Marvel films, guests will visit the Stark Expo and explore the latest innovations from Stark Industries. The experience will involve Tony Stark inviting guests to tour the Expo. It is unknown if Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as the character, though a pre-recorded appearance by the actor doesn't seem like it would be out of the question, given the actor's popularity in the role. After exploring what the Expo has to offer, tourists will board an 'Iron Wing' vehicle, and journey through Hong Kong’s streets, which will resemble the West Kowloon and Causeway Bay. During the ride, guests will be able to explore familiar landmarks like the Tsing Ma Bridge, the city’s pristine mountain ranges, iconic urban taxis and the harbourfront. But the ride won’t be as smooth as expected because the guests will soon have to contend with the evil forces of Hydra. Visitors will also be able to experience the feeling of being inside the suit themselves with the interactive experience, “Become Iron Man.”
Marvel’s Iron Man Experience is estimated to have cost over $100 million to build. The park is expected to open late this year, and it certainly seems like this will an experience worthy of the Iron Avenger.
