JOKER Director Todd Philips Shares Another Official BTS Shot Of Joaquin Phoenix's Clown Prince Of Crime
Late last night, director Todd Philips took to Instagram to share another behind-the-scenes snap of Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker in full make-up, having a little smoke-break. Check it out after the jump...
We've seen enough behind-the-scenes pics of Joaquin Phoenix in full-on clown mode to last us a lifetime at this stage, but it's always a nice treat to get something official from the film's director.
As production continues on Warner Bros.' standalone Joker origin movie, Todd Philips has shared another shot of his star as he puffs away on a cigarette between takes.
Though specific plot details remain under wraps, we've been able to piece together a few things from the plethora of set photos that have found their way online.
Speculation aside, though, it looks like the the film will indeed take influence from Alan Moore's The Killing Joke in its re-imagining of iconic DC villain as a failed stand-up comedian who has "one bad day" that pushes him over the edge.
Joker also stars Zazie Beetz, Robert De Niro and Marc Maron, and is set to hit theaters on October 4, 2019.
