JUSTICE LEAGUE Director Zack Snyder On Another Filmmaker Possibly Picking Up Where The Snyder Cut Left Off

Warner Bros. appears to have no intentions of continuing Zack Snyder's vision for the DC Extended Universe, & the filmmaker has now weighed in on the prospect of someone else picking up where he left off.

Zack Snyder's Justice League arrived on HBO Max earlier this year, and while it received mostly positive reviews (71% on Rotten Tomatoes), it didn't exactly break viewing records on the streaming service. Despite that, it was still a hit, and Blu-ray sales were reportedly pretty strong as well.

Regardless, Warner Bros. viewed the "Snyder Cut" as a conclusion to the filmmaker's vision for the DC Extended Universe, not something that would set the stage for his take to continue. Of course, Snyder used those reshoots to lay the groundwork for his planned sequels, hence why we've seen the #RestoreTheSnyderVerse movement take off on social media in a big way.

During a recent interview with Games Radar, Snyder was asked how he would feel to see another director pick up where he left off with the Justice League. That may sound unlikely, but remember, Warner Bros. enlisted Joss Whedon to do pretty much exactly that with the 2017 movie!

"Oh gosh, I wouldn't have thought of that," Snyder admitted. "Listen, I loved making all those DC movies, and I love superheroes, and I love the genre. I'm very excited to see Matt [Reeves]'s Batman movie [The Batman], so that's exciting. Something like that [though], I'm not sure."

There's probably a somewhat decent chance The Flash will reference the "SnyderVerse," so the director could find that those dangling plot threads are tied up sooner than he anticipated. After all, if Barry Allen does create a new DC Universe a la Flashpoint, Batman's Knightmare will never come to pass.

What do you think should happen to the Justice League franchise moving forward?
