It is undoubtedly a mistake on the reporter's part, but the Los Angeles Times, in a profile of Warner Bros.' Jeff Robinov, mentions the fact that a Justice League movie is planned for 2013, following the 2012 releases of Batman and Superman

Says the article, "Robinov, who shuttered Warner's specialty movie labels in 2008 and infamously passed on releasing the Oscar-winning hit Slumdog Millionaire, wants to keep increasing the number of big-budget 'tentpoles' that fuel global revenue. His most immediate hurdle is filling the void that will be left this summer when the multibillion-dollar Harry Potter series shepherded by [Alan] Horn ends. Robinov is betting on DC Comics characters to take center stage starting in June with the $200 million-plus production Green Lantern. HE'S THEN AIING TO RELEASE NEW BATMAN AND SUPERMAN FILMS IN 2012 AND JUSTICE LEAGUE, A TEAMING OF DC'S TOP HEROES, IN 2013."

That would be so epic. I'd love to see Henry Cavill, Christian Bale, and Ryan Reynolds in the same film. I really hope that's what they do and it happens. But I have a feeling something will fall through and it won't happen.

But I'll remain optimistic, because a JL movie would just be amazing.

Would be epic...but I'm not counting on it happening this soon unless they get a Wonder woman, and flash movie *and whoever else they wanna make a movie about* before 2013. but hey lets just hope for teh best :)

Not going to happen anytime soon this whole article when originally posted did not even make a big deal over the mention of the Justice League it almost reads like the LA Times assumption of what will happen to Warner Brothers. It's also hard believing when the Justice League in the comics at the moment is not even a big deal. Honestly I think it is a little misleading.

Well a Flash movie will most likely happen if GL does well, which I hope it does. Wonder Woman has a show coming out... but yeah. I remember for awhile they were talking about doing a JL movie without Superman or Batman playing a big part, what happened with all that? I'd imagine they might would do that so they could focus on the lesser known characters like Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, etc.

Ah well. I guess we'll see what happens.

OF COURSE I WANT TO SEE JLA live-action movie.

This is what all the individual films should be living up to

1) JLA 1 movie, villain = Thanagarians, earth invasion
2) JLA 2 movie, villain = Doomsday
3) JLA 3 movie villain = Darkseid (and we find out that Darkseid is the one who unleashed Doomsday on Earth)

I think they should wasit till 2013 when the FLASH
movie comes out, make it for 2014.

I doubt we'd see it.
Butttt remember the way we heard there are no plans for Batman films, shows after Nolans trilogy?
Perhaps because they'd effectively reboot it with a new Batman appearing in a Justice League film.

Although I still don't see it happening soon.
Maybe the next group of people to fill the roles will.

It would be amazing, but 2013 seems a bit too early, I figure we'd at least need a WW and Flash movie before JL were to release.

@Vermillion I've been looking at the fact that Snyder is more or less working under the direction of Nolan as a sign that we just might get to see Superman/Batman in the same film in the near future...which would be awesome. Although we just might be through with Bale as Batman after TKDR, don't you think? I don't know about putting them all together for Justice League though. With Avengers we had the benefit of knowing the team-up movie was going to happen before the individual movie's were made. Hence the cinematography all kind of works together. I'm not sure that it would work as well putting Nolanized Batman in the same film as let's say, GL. Nolan world more or less excludes the possibility that other superhero's exist.

It's alright, just because The Avengers will be a successful attempt at a crossover, as well as box-office and critical hit, doesn't mean your contrived "Well if they can do it" will fail...oh wait, that's exactly what'll happen...

As long as Nolan is attached to Batman and Superman, they won't be in a Justice League movie (my opinion). If there is no Batman or Superman in it, then there is a strong chance that a Justice League film will not succeed at the box office.

Yeah, I totally get what you mean. I'd still like to see it happen, even though it most likely won't. :F

As long as GL & Flash are excellent movies, I won't be upset about a JL movie not coming out... I'd just like to see one happen at some time.

I could see GL & Flash appearing in the same movies possibly. I wish they could have kept that little cameo of Clark Kent in GL... That would have been great.

but i can't see it happening,dc needs to do the shared universe build up to the justice league.

they had a chance to do it with the dark knight rises,green lantern & superman man of steel.

but they choose not to.

Theirs quite a few people that just like to disrespect DC here period. You learn just to ignore them most of the time :D

I think Bale was great in Batman Begins... The Dark Knight, he just seemed like he didn't care that much. Hopefully in TDKR he'll be like he was in BB...

Yeah, theirs no telling what they will actually do. Bale seems like he's done when Nolan's done, but he could easily change his mind when the time comes to hang up the cowl...

This would be really good if they did the story very creatively.... and I dunno about you guys, but I would love to see a Justice League vs. Legion of Doom. Not into the Darkseid or Doomsday storylines. Multiple popular villains vs. popular heroes... bought together for a purpose.
