JUSTICE LEAGUE "Snyder Cut" Concept Art Reveals Yet Another Take On The Villainous Steppenwolf

Some new concept art for one of the original designs for Justice League's Steppenwolf has been shared online, & it features a far more monstrous-looking incarnation of the villainous New God. Take a look.

To say that Steppenwolf was an underwhelming villain would be quite the understatement. Justice League had other problems, of course, but a more compelling antagonist for the heroes to rally against would have made a big difference.

Would a different character design have helped? probably not all that much, but it couldn't have hurt!

Some new concept are for an early take on Steppenwolf has now been shared online, and it spotlights a more monstrous, and much cooler looking version of the powerful New God. Artist Jerad Marantz previously shared a painting of his original vision for the villain back when Zack Snyder was still at the helm, and while there are similarities, this appears to be another alternate design.

The horns are flatter against his head, for one, and only his eyes and mouth are visible through his helmet, resulting in a more bestial visage.

Fans expected some sort of official announcement regarding the fabled "Syder Cut" last December, but that obviously never happened, and seems even less likely now with Hollywood in shut-down. Maybe we will hear something once things return to normal, but we wouldn't hold our breath.

So basically every version of this movie was going to suck. I mean, if we can translate a purple giant on to screen in such spectacular fashion, doing the same for this guy isn't exactly rocket science.

But I guess that's what you get for putting faith in this guy.
