JUSTICE LEAGUE's Joe Manganiello Shows Support For #ReleaseTheSnyderCut With New Deathstroke Pics

Joe Manganiello only made a brief appearance in the post-credits scene of Justice League, but the actor has now joined the likes of Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot in showing his support for the "Snyder Cut."

The #ReleaseTheSnyderCut hashtag gained a lot of traction yesterday, with Justice League stars Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck and director Zack Snyder himself lending their voices to the movement. Now, Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello has jined in by sharing some previoulsy unseen shots of his character to Instagram.

Manganiello is arguably the actor who lost out most from Warner Bros.' decision not to move forward with a sequel to Justice League, only getting the opportunity to play Slade Wilson in a brief post-credits scene. He probably would have reprised the role for Ben Affleck's defunct Batman movie, but we all know what happened there.

Insiders report that "no announcement is imminent"  regarding the Snyder Cut, but it's impossible to ignore the recent swell of activity, and, at the very lkeast, the studio must now be fully aware that fans are chomping at the bit to find out what Snyder's original vision for these iconic DC heroes would have looked like before Joss Whedon stepped in to complete the film.

We'll just have to wait and see if WB responds. In the meantime, check out some new Deathstroke images by hitting the view list button.

- Zack already said he was forced into rewrites after the reception to BvS, so his "cut" was still studio-meddled after all

- Steppenwolf is still the same CGI disaster ranting about nonsense

- Ezra is still the most random, awkward miscast

- Who knows how much more Ben phoned it in, even in Zack's cut (again, after the reception to BvS hit hard)

Like seriously people - WATCH THE 2016 TRAILER, which was when the movie was still entirely in Zack's hands. All the footage there doesn't look any-less of a tragedy than what was ultimately given to us.

@Kurne - you cant judge the film on the comic con footage.

@Kurne - I completely disagree, Whedon’s footage all looks like an SNL skit where everyone is on the verge of breaking throughout the whole thing with awkward suppressed smiles not to mention it seems like it’s oddly shot on digital as the footage has a lot of noise that wasn’t there’s in a lot of the Snyder shots who is known to shoot film. Ben looked a lot more invested and serious in those scenes (look at the difference between the Aquaman intro scene an the trailer his demeanor is completely different) and imo the worst aspect of the movie was how glaringly obvious the reshoots, change to color grading, and change to the score that never fit were. Whether you like Snyder or not to say a movie that actually fits together in some way can’t be as just disjointed and uncomfortable to watch as one that’s this freaky chimera of levity and grit over film and digital combined

one of the good things that can come from the snyder cut is a good set up for a legion of doom movie

@Krav - With Lex Eisenberg there?

Give me Jon Cryer for a cast-against-type Lex Luthor that actually succeeded.

Only in the DC Film Universe could people be cheering for the sad abused Joker and wishing dark grumpy Superman would die.

I'm almost 100% sure Deathstroke had a random extended cameo. I'm not sure releasing the Snyder cut would be good or bad.

There will be some who will be committed to saying it's the greatest thing on earth and some will be committed to calling it shit regardless of quality.

I know one thing, the flame wars will be epic and I'm here for it.
Matador
Matador - 11/19/2019, 5:33 AM
@MyCoolYoung - Well they would be comparing the same movie Zack vs. Whedon but it's still JL movie either way the flame war wouldn't be about Marvel vs Dc.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 11/19/2019, 6:16 AM
@Matador - I don't mean Zack vs whedon but they would say things like "Whedon can only make movies for childish Disney" etc.

The flame wars happen when people start comparing Zack's "masterpieces" to Disney's "amusement park" movies.
Matador
Matador - 11/19/2019, 6:26 AM
@MyCoolYoung - oh geez... Only people comparing CBM movies to amusement parks are those old farts that are feeling jelly.

Zack has a dark passion for movies he just was not the right director for the beginning of the DC universe. Had it been a darker character already established it would have been better for him.

Whedon is hit and miss you never sure what you'll get only if he does have 100% passion for the project.

MyCoolYoung - 11/19/2019, 6:37 AM
@Matador - I'm not inserting my opinion into any of this. I'm just saying what I've seen when Zack's DC movies are released. I said amusement parks because people call the MCU movies childish

@BlackBeltJones -
I really hope someone at WB just "leaks" the Snyder Cut onto the internet as it is, so people will finally see how incomplete it all is and (some) people will finally shut up about it.

Of course, there will still be people saying it's fake and expecting some non-existent fully finished version of what Snyder was working on, but those people can't be helped.

Why does everybody blame Snyder when it’s been said that Whedon was responsible for over 80 percent of the final product?
Spidey91
Spidey91 - 11/18/2019, 8:43 PM
@WruceBayne - are you sure? Because a lot of the final movie was in the first trailers, just color corrected differently.
Also, hard to believe Whedon made 80% of the movie in a few months when the Snyder stuff was just lying there already filmed.
WruceBayne
WruceBayne - 11/18/2019, 8:55 PM
@Spidey91 - a lot of the trailer wasn’t in the actual movie. Like, who was talking to Alfred when he said “He said you’ll come but let’s hope it’s not too late” or whoever that hologram was that Bruce Wayne was looking at. I’m sure Whedon didn’t purposely sabotage the movie but it definitely had his stamp of approval on it. I just feel Snyder didn’t get a fair shake to correct the mistakes that were made in BVsS.

GreypilgrimXXX - 11/18/2019, 9:03 PM
@WruceBayne - Uhhh you got your facts wrong dude, no way Whedon shot 80 of a movie that was already finished.
GreypilgrimXXX
GreypilgrimXXX - 11/18/2019, 9:06 PM
@WruceBayne - Fair Shake??? MOS he made Superman a brooding petty hero. BvS more of the same which made no sense and from Snyder himself said he was continuing on that trip by making Supes bad for a good portion of the film. Audiences dont want to see that, Supes is a symbol for hope, the scene where he heat rays Batman in BvS is one of the worst in a CBM ever and shows Snyder had no grasp of the material.
WruceBayne
WruceBayne - 11/18/2019, 9:07 PM
@GreypilgrimXXX - ok, it was 79 percent. Joss Whedon came in a reshot most of that movie. That’s why it was pushed back a whole year.
