RUMOR: Possible logline and villains for upcoming Justice League movie!

Treat this as a mere RUMOR for now, but (supposedly) according to a source close to the production, studio executives kicked around the idea of what villains to use to terrify the JLA. Follow the jump to check it out!

Greetings CBMers! According to Nuke The Fridge, Warner Bros. executives have been kicking around ideas on what villains to use for their upcoming Justice League of America movie set for a possible 2015 release date.

The villains in question are Lex Luthor and the Joker!

The idea behind this is to get a team up between the nemeses of Superman and Batman. Along with the villain reveals, Nuke The Fridge also included a possible logline for the film:

-Lex Luthor creates and then unleashes a genetically engineered monster on Batman’s protectorate Gotham City. In the process, the Joker takes control of the creature in order to wreak havoc on the city and Batman.

Treat this as rumor until officially confirmed, but if true, it looks like we might be getting an epic team up between DC's top 2 villains- The Clown Prince of Crime and Metropolis' Bald Bandit!

What are your thoughts on this? My only question is what the "genetically engineered monster" in question might be...possibly Doomsday? Post your thoughts down below!

I'd rather have Darkseid and the army of apokolips for the first one and vandal savage and starro for the second

I call bullshit. Why would you need an entire JL, when Superman and Batman can take them two on?

Yeah I wanted Darkseid in this motherf***** but eh...if the genetically engineered monster is indeed Doomsday...it'll do for now I suppose.

@Tony- Yeah...I don't know what to think of this but again...just take it with a TRUCKLOAD of salt for now.

If the JLA will be required I figure just to help out Superman and Batman with the genetically engineered monster...which might be Doomsday (my best guess)

Yeah...this sounds too fake to be true. And if it was, this sounds more like a plot for Worlds Finest than a Justice League film.

The thing about joker is that he'll crap on luthor's plans too. If joker were in TDKR he likely would've found the bomb truck, hijacked it for himself, and taken it to the city's edge...citizens wouldn't know where it would go off, Bane and Talia's plan would be ruined and joker would've achieved total anarchy.

@Lizard- I'm sorry...but better than having DARKSEID??

I [frick]ing love the New God. He's one of my favorite CB villains!

Its way too early to show Doomsday.

Like the article said, its just execs kicking around ideas at the lunch table. It ain't happening.

My money is still on Darkseid being the main villain.

if they are the villain.... then let it be a Superman/Batman movie... not Justice League movie....

I don't know...I would LOVE to see an epic team up between Lex Luthor and the Joker.

Something similar to the World's Finest animated movie. I loved that movie.

But it really wouldn't require the entire JLA...it would have to be then...simply a World's Finest film.

But if the genetically engineered monster is indeed Doomsday...then I can see the need for the JLA to team up.

Well that sounds pretty horrible. Please tell me that's a rumour for a JLA *cartoon*.

Corrrection. Only Superman is needed.

@Lizard- yeah I see your reasoning...but maybe they can build towards it with solo films that way it wouldn't feel so rushed...but idk WB is rushing it i think

Here's who I'd cast.

Batman-
Benedict cumberbatch, lanky an lean now, put in the right shape and buffer out I believe could make a great batman. He's already dark and brooding with a strangely attractive appearance plus a deep, intimidating voice to match.

Superman-
Henry Cavill, obviously as he's already the superman in man of steel. Not that I wouldn't cast him already

Wonder Woman-
Eliza Dushku
Beautiful, strong and powerful, Eliza Dushku can definitely pull of this performance. Whereas I feel like someone like Olivia Wilde wouldn't be able to stick closer to the comics version we know and love.
Flash-
Ryan Gosselin, already has a quick wit and a sense of humor, with the right look and personality for flash, I think he'd be perfect as the scarlet speedster.
Martian Manhunter-
Doug Jones is already a special effects and make up guy with roles such as the Silver Surfer and Abe Sapien under his belt I think he bring an alien quality to Martian manhunter and make him less brute, more extraterrestrial.
Green Lantern-
This one stumped me, as I liked Ryan Reynolds portrayel. But I hated his movie and decided the slate needed to be wiped clean. After much thought I think the best replacement is : Logan Marshall-Green. He's an up and comer and his daredevil performance in Prometheus totally matches hal Jordan's style. Plus check out some pictures of him with grown out hair. Resembles hal completely
I rest my case

Nuke The Fridge I can trust. They usually just post things they learn about from various sources. But now...THEIR sources I don't know LOL...hard to say how much truth there is to this rumor but as i said everyone...treat it as such for now.

If WB really wants to focus on a team up of the arch enemies...i don't see why they wouldn't just team up ALL of them and have a Legion of Doom!

But again Darkseid is preferred.

villians in a justice league movie should be the intergang appropiated by the new gods minus Darkseid, who would be the one that set them the task, but decides to remain on Apokalips

@DarthJericho- I was using nemeses...in the plural sense because I was referring to BOTH Lex and Joker...

@Dio- Yeah I agree. The site said JL though...

My guess is...the JLA would fight the monster...while Superman and Batman take on their respective arch enemies? Idk...seems...fishy to me (cue Aquaman) lol

This would work for a World's Finest movie like in the cartoon but not for Justice League
