Which Justice League Member would you like to see get the next solo movie after Man Of Steel?

In the run-up to my Fanfic for a possible Martian Manunter movie, I thought I´d ask you guys, which member of the Justice League would you like to see get a solo movie next, after Man Of Steel? And would you like the films to follow Nolan´s example (Realistic and gritty), Marvels (Comercial And Fun), or, Green Lantern (Kill the director, and send him to hell where all the hacks belong) As you can see I´m not bias.

Which Justice League Member would you like to see get the next solo movie after Man Of Steel?

1. Batman Reboot

2. The Flash

3. Wonder Woman

4. Aquaman

5. The Green Lantern

6. Cyborg

7. Hawkman/Girl

8. Martian Manhunter

9. Other

My personal preference would be to leave out Aquaman and Hawkgirl/man. Bring in Cyborg for a sequel, and make the films really gritty and real, like they´re doing with Superman. Some might say that if you do that you´ll just be making all the characters like Batman. I disagree. It just takes a good writer with a bit of imagination, to keep faithful to the characters, while setting them in world which is relevant to ours. I think this will distinguish DC from Marvel.

One might ask, well how do you make the Flash realistic, but still goofy and fun.
My idea was to have a central question or idea navigate each story. For instance in Snyder´s up coming movie, he seems able to set Superman in a world like ours by asking a question. A clever one I think. What would it really be like to be Superman in a world like ours? How would that responsibility feel? One, thrust on you by the accident of birth. And finally, how would the world react to you, would they regard you champion, or with suspicion? It´s very clever, and by doing this you by pass any level of skepticism about the situation. Because it´s essentially a what if comic. Like what if Superman were born in the Ukrainian farm lands during Stalins rule? Becoming a champion of Truth, Justice, and The International Workers movement.

So for Flash, a similar approach could be taken. For instance with Flash, I thought: what would it really be like for a normal, good-natured man to gain superhuman powers? What would they do? I have a really comic idea for The Flash, in which he wants to get recognized for his heroics, but keeps getting shown up by the more exotic and mysterious alien superheroes who spring up just as he gains his super speed.

Our Flash is certainly still a hero, but he wants to be famous, going so far as endorse Nike on the side, becoming a guest host on X-Factor, or, anonymously calling news crews before attempting his latest heroic deed. However, with all his attempts to make a name for himself, the media and people of central city just aren´t as interested as they are in Gotham´s Dark Knight (Man or myth), or Superman our alien visitor with unimaginable powers, or, Wonder Woman, voted FHM sexiest woman and People magazine most beautiful woman on Earth. Our Flash
can´t seem to get a break, he can barely make page 10, with Superman flying around.

I think that´s the way of making a real world Flash, while keeping the humor of the original.

The Trickster his nemesis in the film, will suffer the same issue, getting news about all the Jokers exploits, and being unable to top them, and just being seen in Central City - a relatively crime free state, in comparison withGotham - as a rip off of the Joker. The Flash and Trickster even sit in a bar at one point lamenting there bad luck.

the film will concentrate on media obsessions and image, until the point where our hero, The Flash is forced to become the hero we all know he is, saving Central City from a dastardly plan;
Tagline: "This is no job for Superman."

Look out for my future article The Flash: Generation Speed (A modern interpretation of The Flash inspired by The Nolanverse)

Anyway so back to the main point of the article: I would defo pick Wonder Woman for the next solo movie, followed by Martian Manhunter and The Flash, then Batman Reboot.

I´m at the moment uploading another article on how I would handle Martian Manhunter. Its a really Ridley Scott style space epic. I would love to know your thoughts.

Look out for Fanfic: Martian Manhunter (Space Odyssey inspired by the Nolanverse)

Never followed Flash in comics before & only started reading it in The New 52, & daaaaammmmnnn!!! It's goin really really good. I can only imagine those before the reboot. Now I can understand the desire for a Flash movie & truely look forward to The Flash hitting the silverscreen.

The Flash you are describing doesn't sound like the flash I know. We know Wally West would do things like adds for Nike as Flash but not even he would be so irresposible and self involved to put so much effort into being famous as to call the news ahead before each battle. They are probably going with Barry Allen with this one. A man who doesn't exactly crave the spotlight (even as the Flash). I would love to see a flash Movie but not like what your describing.

And I don't think Cyborg should be in the Justice League Movie. He should have to be in the Teen Titans before the Justice League (Which before the New 52 was always the case)They shouldn't write out the best Lineup of the Teen Titans. Martain Manhunter should be the 7th Justice League Member.

Leave batman chill for now. After MOS they should introduce Hawkman. His is a story unlike all the other heroes that everyone including men would take in the action from ancient Egypt to the wild west and women would engage themselves into the great love story of two eternally connected souls destended to be reborn time and time again. They can even use different actors and actresses to play the rebirths of Khufu and Chay Ara. Then they can follow with a JSA movie using WW2 as the backdrop and can introduce more heroes as they help the Allies win the war. If you want to go All Star Squadron...ASS ha ha....that's fine. Then after the JSA movie go for the JL movie. Start with the JSA disappearing into limbo to prevent Ragnarok and a new team is needed to combat a new threat so they gather Superman, Wonder Woman and the rest to form the JUSTICE LEAGUE!!! JSA members.....Hawkman Flash I Atom. Spectre Dr fate. Green lantern. Hourman. Sandman. Maybe also use star girl, mr terrific and wildcat. WW2 era worked in Capt America. Make it sorta like watchmen but not as dark.....for the kiddies.....and not as trying to be funny like Avengers.

Seems DC has two roads to choose from: either create a Justice League film as a launching point for solo films, or create a series of solo films and then tie them together with a JL film.

Assuming their going the solo route:

After the fiscally and critically successful Nolan Batman pics, he may need a rest for a few years. Since Nolan ended his series, Batman will need a reboot but probably not right away. After MOS, I also would love to see Hawkman! I think it's an absolutely terrific idea. Followed by Wonder Woman and The Flash. With Superman, Wonder Woman, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, and The Flash covered (and the Green Lantern world of story already introduced...albeit not as well as it could have been), bring on the Batman reboot. This would require DC getting itself in gear pretty quickly to make this all happen.

For a Justice League film, I'd be intrigued with a Brother-Eye concept. I've spoken with folks on another forum and someone suggested Batman collecting evidence and superhero weaknesses in his cave. After all, Batman is a mortal non-superpowered human. He need to keep tabs on things. I'd love the big bad to be Brainiac. But I know, cart--horse. For now, I'm with the Hawkman/girl suggestion. :)
