JUSTICE LEAGUE: Zack Snyder Fans Have Started Destroying Their Copies Of Joss Whedon's Theatrical Cut

The version of Justice League available on DVD and Blu-ray is Joss Whedon's film, and fans eager to see Zack Snyder's Justice League have started destroying their copies in response to the HBO Max news!

The hardcore supporters of the Justice League Snyder Cut are a unique bunch, but they do deserve our respect, because their campaign paid off and we're getting Zack Snyder's Justice League on HBO Max next year.

Clearly not upset about moving on from "Josstice League," some of those fans have spent the past few days destroying their copies of the DVD or Blu-ray in a variety of madcap ways. Below, you'll see them burning it, throwing the disk into the distance, placing it in the garbage, and even taking a hammer to the 2017 film.

This lot are obviously not going to miss their discs, but with no set premiere month for Zack Snyder's Justice League, they could spend upwards of a year without their Justice League fix. They can't have hated it that much, anyway, as they obviously chose to buy it when it was released in early 2018.

Maybe someone will hold a competition to see who can destroy it most inventively!

People who blame or have resentment to Joss are idiots

@manofillintent1 - Fact. Snyder stepped down due to the death of his daughter.

@manofillintent1 - Like, he had pretty much impossible task and the fact that JL was in any shape or form coherent makes him more impressive filmmaker in my eyes than Zack Snyder has ever been.

- He had to finish another filmmaker's movie with very small notice.

- He had to make it tonally different from the previous two movies the original filmmaker made in the same franchise, yet have the reshoots he was directing fit with the ones the original director had already filmed.

- He was not allowed any extra time or budget.

- Oh, one of the main stars has a moustache now, can't shave it, can't have it in the movie and most of the reshoots revolve around him. Figure it out.

It's pretty disgusting how everyone is treating him as the sole reason for the movie's failure and WB really threw him under the bus by not even allowing him to make the Batgirl movie he was working on, which was the only reason he was at hand to finish JL in the first place.

@DoubleD - Pretty sure its been said he was fired before his daughters death and they used his daughter's death so that he and the studio could save face
dracula

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Plus supposibly he had less control of Age Of Ultron than he did the first film, its why he left Marvel Studios

@manofillintent1 - Yeah, a few scenes of humor arent going to ruin a movie, and seriously having to cut the movie down to 2 hours with credits, yeah I doubt Zack Snyder is going to have to do that

@manofillintent1 - 100% Agree. People act like the critical and financial success of Joss’ The Avengers didn’t motivate and cause WB to really kick off their shared universe.

Also really strange that not a single cast member or Zack Snyder have come out and told these crazy fans to stop bullying Joss as it wasn’t his fault in the slightest. The closest we got was Henry Cavill who said “be nice”. It wouldn’t hurt to show a little class, especially as the fans are not.

@DoubleD - Uhhhh, no it hasn't. There never has been any proof that they DIDN'T use his daughters death as a face saving way to part ways. You don't actually believe anyone will admit to it?

@manofillintent1 - So...most Synder fans, then?

Instead of being happy, these miscreants have to displace their projected self-hatred somewhere else.

Joss changed the game as far as comic book movies. These c**ts don't deserve anything.

@manofillintent1 - yeah. This was wb through and through. If they really didnt think the snyder version was going to work, they should've just got joss to make a different movie. Not awkwardly have him throw in comedy scenes to make the whole thing feel as disjointed as possible. I feel bad for the position whedon was placed in.

Its bad that the Ultron drones looked more like Ultron from the comics than Ultron did.

@KWilly - Same. With all this hype the Snyder fans and the actors are tossing on this, if it's turns out to be worse, the same, or even only slightly better, it will be hilarious.

@Desrow - That is so right. These are not DC fans, or DCEU fans. They are Snyder's fans. And they are as toxic as they can get
GarthRanzz
GarthRanzz - 5/22/2020, 12:37 PM
@Elbarto63 - To be fair, I am a huge fan of Snyder but only because Watchmen, Man of Steel and BvS....and I went back after the fact and enjoyed his other stuff. I have zero interest in destroying my Justice League copy as I didn't exactly hate it. Underwhelmed would be the better term. But historically this site has labeled Nolan and Snyder fans differently...its interesting as people don't have a term for Feige but if I pointed out that in my opinion the best Marvel movies were made by Sony or Fox, I would get the same treatment from those who defend Snyder or Nolan.
