Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall Set For a 2012 Release!

"'Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall' has been scheduled for production in 2011 for a 2012 cinema release, but fans of the first movie can find out what happens two years in advance by picking up CLiNT."

What is CLiNT you ask? Well, it's an upcoming UK comics magazine that will feature original comics and comics-related content and is the brainchild of Kick-Ass and Wanted writer, Mark Millar. The first issue will apparently kick off the sequel to the Kick-Ass comic and along with that will also feature original content from British TV host Jonathan Ross and stand-up comedian Frankie Boyle.

A statement on Miller's site had the following to say about the magazine: "This isn’t aimed at comic stores (though I’m delighted if comic stores want to stock), but instead aimed at the huge potential of a UK mass market, the like of which hasn’t really been reached in a generation. It’s going to be a massive venture and one aimed almost entirely at the UK. If people in the US want a copy that’s great, but this is being put together with casual British readers in mind, a combination of comic-books, interviews and features for 16-30 year old men."

To find out more, be sure to pick up the first issue of CLiNT on September 2nd!

Batman 3

The Avengers

Spider-Man reboot

Kick Ass 2

Can't wait for 2012. Out of those 4 comic book movies Batman 3 is going to make the most money out of all of them.

2012 will indeed be an amazing year for comic book movies!!! :) Hell, 2011 is shaping up to be pretty damned epic as well!

This is a great title for the movie and I have to say that this magazine of Miller's does sound pretty interesting! Might be worth checking out in September! I just hope that a proper comic book version of Kick-Ass 2 is still being planned..!

Funny how CLiNT can read like one of Hit Girl's expletives, if you use the right font.

I will die laughing if either Aaron Johnson or Chirs-bleh McLovin say "Balls to the Wall" randomly in the next movie. xD

Great Comic, Great Movie, can't wait for the sequel to both.

@MsKyle: The movie is so worth making time for. Seen it several times already, even paid for it once.

@Anil Rickly: Nor will she die from a car crash

@ Vikeme - U're forgetting Man of Steel, Dec 2012
also regarding your list, let's leave out Spidey. Only look forward if it's by Marvel not Columbia.

My God. CLINT. So stick the I and the L together and what do you get? Mark Millar's juvenile obsession with the word c#nt.

@RorMachine
Hey he got the idea from another UK magazine - SFX (bit like wizard but not just for comics) and whenever a new issue of SFX comes out they always find some way to hide the base of the F so your buying a copy of "SEX - Featuring Doctor Who & Iron Man"
FrankGarret

He didn't really come up with it, I've seen it crop up in the past, usually with the word FLiCK.

Not that I mind it anyway, as one should remember that the word cnt in the UK is indeed as Warren Ellis would say, punctuation.

Zod: Great avatar!

I FINALLY got around to seeing Kick Ass last night (been one thing or another getting in the way). That was honestly one of the best comic book films I've ever seen. I'll definitely be there for a sequel. 2012 is indeed shaping up as having the potential to be one hell of a good year for movies.

And with a name like Balls to the Wall, I hope they find a way to tie in the classic Accept song by that name into there somehow. '80s metal (REAL metal, not hair metal) at its best.
