It's On The Grid have posted a short synopsis for the upcoming Lobo movie, giving us some idea of what we can expect from the story. We also seem to have confirmation that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will play the DC anti-hero..

Thanks to itsonthegrid.com, we now have an idea of the plot for Warner Bros. currently in development Lobo movie. If their report is accurate, Lobo's first big screen outing won't be a space set adventure, but will see the infamous bounty hunter travel to Earth to hunt down some bad (well, badder) guys..



As you can see, it would also appear that Dwayne Johnson has officially signed on to play the part.

i'm not sure the rock is the right choice for lobo,i'll have to wait & see him in all the gear.

I like the idea of The Rock playing Lobo, but there's no denying that he'd be perfect for Black Adam. I'm just concerned about their choice of director for this flick.

I am not that much familiar with the character; but, I'm definitely interested in seeing this, of course. That plot synopsis attracts me even more. However, whether it will appeal to the general audiences or not, I am not sure yet.

The Rock IS Black Adam, though. I'd certainly be glad if he's out from this project just to take the role of Black Adam...especially, if the likes of Kevin Durand is his replacement.

Not sure about the rock as lobo. Seems like an odd choice. Just as the fact that they are even considering doing a movie on the character.

I think Rock would do well as Kratos in the God of War series. There aren't too many people who could pull off the look and have some acting,action skills.

and to make it "realistic" it's going to be 99% on earth, with lobo using some alien thingamabob to look like the rock for most of the movie....

I don't know about this. Johnson's not bad but I don't really see him as Lobo. His manner isn't right. Jeffery Dean Morgan, as someone above said, would seem a better choice. I can't imagine Johnson with all that hair. lol

First and for most if it isn't a R rating then it's a waist of time. Second if the spirit follows more humans like what they did in Transformers than the actual main character its going to be bad. Last If they don't reveal or show how he killed his entire race to become the badass that he is then its going to be crap. Yes Rock is a better Black Adam.

Ironman wasn't a household name... just saying. I think Lobo would be a good mix of fun and "darkness." A lot of potential, and I honestly think more intriguing than a Flash movie.

@Lowell58 Iron Man and THOR may not have been household names, but they were part of MARVEL's top known characters right behind the X-MEN's and Spider-men. DC has more near household names outside of Batman and Superman that it is beyond retardism to keep pulling Jonah Hex' out of their ass. Lobo is an interesting choice, but wrong for the moment and horrendously miscast with a guy I actually like, but understand to be a low-budget draw.

I'm not sure what to think of this, it's cool DC are trying new characters on the big screen but they should focus on characters like Wonder Woman, Flash, and getting Green Lantern right.

Lobo better not be a part of the Justice League when that's made...
