We're back with another MCU rumour roundup, but let's begin by debunking a pretty wild claim that's floating around on social media this weekend.
Despite a great many fan accounts claiming Barbie star Ryan Gosling has "officially" been cast as the MCU's Ghost Rider, we can tell you that's not the case. It's certainly possible he's discussed the role with Marvel Studios but, as of now, nothing has been announced or confirmed.
With that out of the way, we move on to Vision Quest. While Jac Schaeffer had been developing the spin-off, Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard) has since been tapped to take charge of the series which will see Paul Bettany reprise his role as the title character.
According to scooper Daniel Richtman, the plan is still for Vision's android family, including Viv and Vin, to appear in the 2026 series. That's a relief as we did wonder whether the premise - Tom King's Vision comic - has changed with the addition of a new showrunner.
Richtman has also heard that Marvel Studios has begun searching for a showrunner to take charge of the Scarlett Johannson-produced TV series, The Blonde Phantom.
Taylor Swift and Sydney Sweeney have both met with Kevin Feige to discuss the role.
@MyTimeToShineH says the plan is for Chris Pratt to return as the Legendary Star-Lord "soon," and claims we'll also see a Scarlet Witch movie sooner than expected. @Cryptic4KQual backs that up by saying Marvel Studios is keen to bring Elizabeth Olsen back into the fold for the project.
Talking about her future as the character last year, Olsen said, "Specifically in the last four years, my output has been Marvel. I don’t want...it’s not that I don’t want to be associated as just this character. But I really feel like I need to be building other parts back up for balance."
"I so much want to do films right now. And I hope some of them come together in the way I feel like they can. But yeah, that’s something that I need. I just need other characters in my life," she added. "There’s no longevity in one character."
For what it's worth, we're hearing the idea is to continue Wanda Maximoff's story in Agatha All Along and Vision Quest, even if Olsen doesn't appear. With that in mind, there are clearly big ideas for her to be a central figure in the Multiverse Saga.
