If you have nothing going on during the middle of February in the next calendar year, I would strongly advise you to go and check out the new film which will arrive in theaters at the time, Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantamania! I can assure you, this movie will include everything:
- Great characters ✅
- An immersive story ✅
- Stunning visual effects ✅
- And who can forget? The best villains we can hope to see! ✅
Kang The Conqueror will provide us with the breadcrumbs of what will lead him on to be known as one of the most spectacular villains Marvel Studios ever used later on in The Kang Dynasty, and while we have encountered Kang in previous projects, I want to speak of the secondary villain whom we have received quite literally hardly any information about.
The villain I am referring to is MODOK. This character has not been teased in any way, and I hate to say it, but I think Marvel Studios might have actually managed to keep the entire aspect of this character hidden under wraps from the general public. The most we had been notified of this character is his design, which was shown by official images by funko pops to be released later on.
However, various leakers and theorists distributed what they believe MODOK's role will serve in Ant-Man 3, since his character has been basically confirmed by a concept artist who works at Marvel, extending his gratitude and excitement for the responsibility of composing a design for this character in the movie fell on his shoulders.
From what had been scattered bits of information on MODOK's role, I have been able to conjure my own theory, one which sounds very accurate, and will inevitably happen in Ant-Man 3!
Many theories suggest that MODOK is Darren Cross, AKA Yellowjacket. After he shrunk down to subatomic size and entered the Quantum Realm at the end of the first Ant-Man movie, we can assume he did not die, rather, met and befriended Kang sometime upon his entry, since Kang had been there for years. Remember, MODOK is a genius possessing supreme intelligence, which Kang could have been exploiting for years in his attempts to escape the Quantum Realm, keeping him alive.
I believe one of two situations can occur in the movie, which explains MODOK's role. MODOK will hunt down Scott and the rest of his friends after they had entered the Quantum Realm, which is the perfect time for him to exact his revenge for his own proprietary reasons, or, MODOK will not necessarily be a guard dog, but rather, an ally to Kang, since they both want to escape the Quantum Realm, and he will still hunt them down but for Kang.
Their intentions are the same, and their goals are exactly alike, with the only difference being MODOK would want to kill Scott and his friends out of revenge, after they devise a way to escape the Quantum Realm, and are of no use to them anymore.
What do you think? Is my theory accurate, and have you composed a similar one? Comment down below!
