Our Best Selling Batman T-Shirts

As you would expect, few heroes are as popular on our site as Batman. He is one of those characters that appeals to fans and main-streamers alike. In this article we provide an overview of our best sellers.

Everybody loves the Batman, which is kind of contrary to the nature of the character! Bruce Wayne wanted to become a symbol, something to fear, something for the underworld to run from in terror. I don't think he quite realized how many fans would flock to him though; suppose that's just karmic return! The success of the last two Batman films has also served to launch him further into the spotlight. I guess we can chalk "Batman and Robin" up to essentially killing the series for a couple of years. Yet from the ashes we got Christopher Nolan and his slightly unhinged Christian Bale...the rest as they say is history. Tim Burton brought us a darker and edgier Batman than what we were used to from Adam West. Not that there is anything wrong with trying to get rid of a bomb by running with it or some super sweet shark repellent, but people were ready for a tormented and stoic Batman. We can't forget about the first deadly serious Joker, either! I suppose Alan Moore had his impact on the character after-all.

So, enough with the history lesson and let's get down to brass tax, ladies and gentlemen. Batman is always one of our best sellers here at SuperHeroStuff.com. We can't go a day without sending out Batman paraphernalia to the four corners of the world. On that note, we decided to talk about our best selling Batman t-shirts! We've cut this in to two different categories, symbols/logos and images. Incidentally, we tend to sell a lot more symbols than t-shirts with images of the Batman. Maybe you guys can help explain why!

Our first section is the symbols. Really, it is surprising to us that not everybody in the world already has one of the prototypical black and yellow symbol t-shirts. It is just as prolific as Superman’s "S" crest! Made insanely popular after Tim Burton's Batman films, the iconic black and yellow symbol has become the essential trademark of Bats. Perhaps if that is too formal for you, maybe you would like to tone it down a bit with our Batman Symbol IV T-shirt. This heather gray and black t-shirt creeps up on you. At first glance people may not realize, but it comes to everybody almost as quickly as they took that glance. THE BATMAN! As much as I would like to just talk about Batman symbols, we gotta at least give a nod to Batman’s first protege, Nightwing AKA the first Robin. Apparently, there are a lot of people out there that love them some Nightwing!

What about our best images? Well, this is where things start becoming a little inconsistent. Some of you like the 'old school' vintage look while others enjoy the newer, more contemporary look. I suppose it is a meeting of the two Bat-worlds! Who is the king of the Batman image t-shirts? DRUM ROLL PLEASE! The Batman classic yellow logo t-shirt! Look at Batman, looking all Adam Westy. Yeah, that’s right; I just turned Adam West into an adjective! Of the new crowd? The Dark Knight Strikes T-shirt; this all over image t-shirt almost feels violent and chaotic. Another really popular ‘old school’ t-shirt is our Detective Comics #380, featuring Batman and Robin looking very surprised. Probably ran out of whatever they needed at the moment on their utility belts. They were probably eating some chicken or beef and needed some salt, now that I think about it. Of course if silliness is not something you crave, you could always pick up the Batman Gotham Lightning T-shirt. Batman embodies the symbol he has so valiantly established. Something to respect, something to fear!

Grif are you [frick]ing kidding me? The black and white one on the 2nd row is one of the coolest comic book hero shirts I have ever seen. Seriously, I do graphic design, and I love fancy designs, and that one is top notch, the last one on the 2nd row isn't bad either.

I Have about 9 Batman Shirts. But my fave on this list is the Second one on the First row! (I'm going to have to buy that one) I prefer the Logo/Symbol Shirts over the picture ones.

@ Anil : "the last one is epic.. " Isn't that the Lee picture from Last Man Standing? It looks strikingly simmilar, and if I'm correct (which is to say, probably *not* correct) it's from an epic storyline. I agree wholeheartedly.

"but in your case...the douche level is higher than usual "

Agree x2.

We need more shirts that are not tees. I have some 'club' shirts that look like a Hawaiian shirt, but I would like some button down or polo shirts. I also would like Industrial work uniforms with logos. Some of us have to wear the blues smock and having Spidey on it would be COOL
