While previous reports had the film ending the weekend with $265 Million domestically, it seems that Man Of Steel will finish the weekend with $271 Million. But will it hit $300 Million?

Man Of Steel has finally become that one DC Comics film Warner Bros' have been holding out for since The Dark Knight, the one DC film (other than Batman) to make more than $500 Million worldwide. Man Of Steel has been projected to finish on $271 Million this weekend (Domestic of course) with $300 Million being inevitable. Now with the success of Man Of Steel and Comic Con around the corner, a DC movie announcement wouldn't be out of the question. Man of Steel follows the Last Son of Krypton on his epic journey to become mankind's shinning beacon of hope for a brighter future. With the beliefs and values instilled by his adoptive parents Jonathan (Kevin Costner) and Martha (Diane Lane) Kent, a young Clark (Henry Cavill) sets out to find his place in the world. But when the nefarious General Zodd (Michael Shannon) arrives on Earth, Clark will have to choose between being a normal human or Kal-el,son of Jor-El (Russell Crowe) and humanity's greatest protector and champion. Filmed in IMAX and shot in Vancouver, Chicago and Plano, Illinois, Man of Steel will be released on June 14, 2013 by Warner Bros. Directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) with a screenplay by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight) the Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, Inception) produced feature film will surely be the summer blockbuster of 2013.

I think they should a MoS sequel with a World's Finest storyline implemented into it so that in turn can lead into a Justice League movie.

Man of Steel is the best comic book movie of the year! (Not incluiding Wolverine) Iron Man 3 was a shitty movie tha5 was so cluster[frick]ed it failed to give me a sense of closure like TDKR did! [frick] you shane black! ALL HAIL THE ERA OF DC!!! We'll FINALLY be getting movies based on the greatest Superheroes!

Man of Steel 2 with a world's finest storyline with Hugo Strange/Luthor/Brainiac(computer form) as the villians.

Lex want's to ruin Supermans reputation and image in order to promote that he's the real Superman of Metropolis.

Strange is brought in by Luthor to understand Superman's psyche and to break him down mentally before developing an obession for Batman when he personally encounters him.

Brainiac's role is to analyse the biological background and nature of Superman so that weapons and counter-measures can be constructed to neutralize or potentially kill Superman.

Funny thing is... superman could have simply covered his eyes. Sure, it would hurt, but it's a better alternative, no? With that said, I don't have a problem with Supes killing Zod, there is a precedent after all, but the execution (excuse the pun) was pathetic. He could have dealt with it in a million different ways

Im glad some of y'all was not Supes. Instead y'all would just through Zod around and maybe fight for another 2 hours and probably result in more people dying than just those 4 people. Like Batman told the JL in Doom, his action dont require any defense. In the same situation Supes should do it again. If you people cant see the potential danger of an out of control god with no way of imprisonment that killing him is his only option to save even more people, then you are even bigger fools than any criminal on the planet.

So I guess some of you would save one person to result in millions being dead.

Well, if WB royally screwed up Green Lantern... a character whose story should have EASILY translated into a great movie (far more so than the Flash), I don't know that they'll do a good job with any of their characters below Supes & Bats. Look how long they've been trying to do Wonder Woman.

And I don't think it's at inevitable MoS will reach $300m domestic. Possible, yes; inevitable, no.

Still questionable too if it surpasses TASM in total gross (foreign + domestic).
