The Future of CBM is at stake!

Unless we make a change! CBM and many other websites are in danger! In a few days, the Senate is going to begin voting on January 24th!

Two bills known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) are going to be on the table! With these two Bills the Government will be able to CENSOR the Internet and can BLOCK websites for copyright infringement!!

I've never posted or even commented on an article before, and I just recently made an account. However, I have been part of the CBM family for about 7 years now and have been through it all with you guys! All the bad ass spoilers to the epic sneak previews that gets removed not even ten minutes from being posted, and even the fun polls and editorials! I love reading the comments and hearing everybody's opinions! I see you all as family!

That's why I need to state this since no one else is! This is NO JOKE! SOPA and PIPA goes against The Constitution just like NDAA does (and if you don't know what that is PLEASE look it up) and that Bill got signed right under our noses! This site will be taken down one way or another if these Bills pass! All I ask is if you all go to Google and click the Black Box! And sign the petition! We need to stop this!

I know we have our differences (Marvel vs. DC) but this the time we stand together and fight for what we believe in!

hate to break it to you all but the two bills were shelved because the president spoke out against it and all the various bad parts were being fixed

Ha, yeah right. This shit isn't happening. Remember, alot of these websites are very powerful entities/corporations, themselves. They also have a considerable amount of influence on Wash policy makers. There's no way this is happening.

This is not something I would want to take as chance though! People have move on from Tv to the Internet because its our only way to find truthful media! Now the Government is trying to get a hold of the web so they can manipulate it too!

@CloneKev its the republican majority in the congress that's bringing these bills forward. Obama had nothing to do with it.

But anyway it won't work. Not only do they go against the constitution but also international law. If it passes and the Supreme Court doesn't put an end to it, the US foreign allies will. What right does the US have to censor an international database?

[frick] Sopa but Obama is not to blame for this, infact he voted against this act.

The people pushing for this act are higher ups in the music and movie industry or anything other big name industry. Infact Marvel and DC were both for Sopa until they changed there mind and read further into the Sopa and Ip act.

We would protest, but we're too busy being on the internet. So instead we'll sign some online petitions that will be ignored. When SOPA is passed and destroys the internet, I hope Americans start to grow there balls back and fight properly and don't just say "Oh well" like they did for Occupy Wall Street.

@Dawnelldo Yes, just as Obama was against Guantanamo Bay, the wars, the debt, the bill that allows troops to indefinitely imprison American citizens for no reason (apologies I can't remember the name).
