Why do we hate on peoples opinion?

Why do we hate on peoples opinion?

Why is it that when someone post their opinion on a movie/or news, and its not in favor with others opinion, we start attacking them?

Editorial Opinion

Assuming that every one reads the comments on the stories posted on this fine site, one thing that you can find is someone or some group attacking someone/some group for either liking a certain movie/news article ( x-men first class) or for bad talking a movie/news article (transformers: dark of the moon). One reason that i like visiting this site while at school, work, or at home is because this site seems like a place where all nerds can come and discuss what we all love, COMIC BOOK MOVIES! But it seems that every time i come here and look at the stories there is always at least one person that will like/dislike the story and then someone else feels like its their right to but them on blast. But why? Don't we have freedom of speech? The right to voice are opinion? The thing that has stopped nerds from uniting has always been "how can you like that? ITS CRAP I SAY!". I've seen fights over Star Wars VS Stark Trek, Star Wars VS Lord of the Rings, Star Trek VS Star Trek, and the one that spills the most blood Marvel Comics VS DC Comics. Now i doubt anyone will read this but if some of you stumble upon this..can't we just get along? Oh and why is it when we attack someone we have to make some homosexual reference about them?

BTW: This is my first time writing something on this site so if i misspelled something or anything of the matter I'm sorry.

I attribute it to the fact that this is a popular site and there are many different view going on all at once, naturally shit can get raw. Lots of things factor in though. I can't count how many of these encounters simply stem from the offenders bad day being vented in a faceless community. Some folk are more prone to call you a '[foo foo]' when they don't have to look you in the eye and some still have that as their only outlet, some are actually long standing rivalries and some are simply an effort to exert control. Mostly, people just don't like being told they're wrong, whether they are or not or even if their IS NOT a wrong or right for the topic. This is all the nature of social interactions in which sooo many opinions are introduced for review. Bottom line, it comes with the territory. CBM is unique as we are as communicative with each other similar to housewives on FB, only cooler cause we talk about comics and stuff... So much goes on here that I'm quite proud at how little of this goes on compared to the traffic. We really don't have any trolls, some ill tempered fanboy's sure, but trolling gets purged pretty fast. Welcome to CBM and don't let the aggressiveness get you, we love our characters as if they were real.

Superguy1591@ Well said ;)... Very touching

Maybe its that, when you love something so much and try to share that love with everybody, then some guy walks by you and says "Sucks", it kinda rips your heart in pieces, if you think about it?!:)
Of course everyone has their right to opinion, i agree in that, but i think people should be more open minded to new things?... Or just gentle with their words?xD

its not called hate, its called a "different opinion", it becomes hate when people start making it personal, people wanna debate about marvel vs dc let them but when they make it personal thats when it gets out of hand

1. Conflict is fun.

2. If your not going at least act like you take some of this stuff halfway seriously, why comment? Why be here?

3. Some opinions are stupid.

4. As Superguy1591 points out, isn't this is kind of hypocritical, isn't it? This is you, putting down peoples comments putting down peoples comments, isn't it?

The short answer is, some people are asshats. I enjoy a good hearty debate as many of us do, but there will always be the miserable bastard factor. nature of t'internet.

LMFAO @idealism...oh, and, welcome. Word of advice, don't take what people write on sites like this personal. Remember, most are either teens or adult comic book readers. That sums it up.

@deadpool72...it's not a love/hate "need." The reality is we have to "deal with it." As you know. Most everyone has had to deal with "asshats" and have also been "asshats." This site and the internet in general would be so much better if people were respectful to each other, but there's always SOMEONE that "likes" being the "asshat" too much. Those people are miserable tools. As you know. Welcome to the wonderful world of asshatism. How's that for balance?!

@ yourmomnaked

you are no different hating the haters, you talk about respecting each other then you call people "asshats".

i enjoy having a laugh at the movie,tv shows, actor or actress expence its not aimed at any of the users but that makes me miserable tool.

wouldn't this site be boring if you clicked on article to read fifty comments saying how great it is.

non of these articles say only comment if you've got something postive to say.

@deadpool72...yawn. Just giving you the attention you obviously crave by CONSTANTLY being a hating asshat. You're delusional to think you're contributing something to this site by being an asshat all the time. It's hard to respect someone that is disrespectful, huh? When you and others constantly say things like "Smallville sucks" on every Smallville article, it IS aimed at the users. It's borderline harassment, friend. You're entitled to your opinions, but HOW you go about stating your opinion makes you an asshat, hence my opinion of you. Saying something positive or negative is A LOT different than what you do! But who am I to judge the miserable internet tools of this world? An asshat, too, for pointing out your bad form similarly? Meh, probably. Hating on the haters...LMFAO...weak.
