Uh Oh! Rumor Has It Ryan Reynolds' R.I.P.D. Is A Stinker

The website flixist.com is claiming that a source who is "heavily involved" with the film has seen all of the footage and believes Ryan Reynolds has yet another comic book movie flop on his hands.

R.I.P.D. just recently wrapped filming and already a source has contacted Flixist with some gloomy news on the film. Flixist explains, "My source described the film as a $200 million train wreck that is a Men in Black wannabe. Ouch! The film was edited for five months, which is never a good sign. They must really have been digging for decent footage or crafting a masterpiece; we'll find out which soon enough."

Of course take all rumors with a grain of salt, but if the news is true it would be a major blow to Ryan Reynolds. He is still trying to shake off the disaster that was last summer's Green Lantern.

R.I.P.D., will be released in theaters June 28, 2013, also stars Jeff Bridges, Marisa Miller, Mary-Louise Parker, and Stephanie Szostak.

@BabyAddams You gonna take that? Dude just roasted yo mamma.

Anyway, I like Reynolds. I think he hasn't been properly placed yet. I don't think Green Lantern or some of his Deadpool portrayals are his fault. I think he does what he's spposed to do and the writers/directors [frick] everything up. Take this film for example; the material sounds dumb as hell and it will probably be on the budget level and look of Mark Walbergs Max Payne. Put Reynolds in better environments and I bet he does well.

How many times are we gonna pay to see whether or not he's ruined something though? I SAY NO MORE.

In almost all the movies I've seen Reynolds in I've enjoyed.

He doesn't write, direct, produce, edit or score a movie. He does what he's asked to do and, usually, does it well.

This movie was never gonna be anythings but a MIB wannabe but I'm still looking forward to it! Reynolds, the undead and Jeff 'THE DUDE' Bridges!

If Reynolds was bad at acting in the roles and that was the sole reason the movies were shite then I could understand the hostility. But he doesn't...so I don't

Doing Deadpool means Reynolds will do what he does best. Perfect for the guy.

But he'll end up only doing Deadpool sequels for the rest of his movie career.

I like Ryan Reynolds but he seems to surround himself with incompetent production crews and studios! His Deadpool performance was great, his Green Lantern was good (seriously) but both movies were shit because of the crews behind the scenes!

"The film was edited for five months, which is never a good sign."

The [frick] they talking about? The film started shooting in late August and just recently wrapped. How could it have been in editing for five months when that's as long as they've been shooting the whole [frick]ing movie?!

They only finished filming the movie 7 days ago and we're supposed to believe someone has already seen a cut of it?And how could the film have been edited for 5 months when they didn't start filming until sometime in September? That's less than 5 months ago.

Sounds like BS.

Ryan Reynolds has done plenty of good films and I am really looking forward to Safe house...

But just seems like every comic book film he does flops...look at the list:

Blade: Trinity
Xmen Origins - Wolverine (though he makes a perfect Deadpool and i still want him to play Wadey in a solo film)
Green Lantern
....and now possibly R.I.P.D...

Is it Reynolds fault...yes and no...i believe he is being targeted for the wrong roles in comic book films...at the end of the day no matter how good an actor is...they can never make a rubbish script or direction good...

He was paid to do what he did in Green Lantern...He didn't write the script and did not say that he wanted a cgi costume...If only he played the role a bit more seriously...
My Final opinion is that Green Lantern just had the Wrong Director...

That'd make 4 cruddy comic book movies Reynolds has been involved in.
What does that tell you? Not all comic books are suited to be movies.

GL was a piece of shit because too many people involved with the script each of them trying to impose there own vision. Reynolds wasn't the worse actor in the movie it was Lively, wow she was crap, hell the movie made a good actor like saarsgard look crap literally. Reynolfs just an idiot dude needs to be more smart when he's reading scripts. He needs to step away these big blockbusters and do more small scale films.

How is it just comic book movies, you all have narrow sight!

The guys made about 24 movies, 17 of them never made over $40 million at the box office, only two ever made over $150 million and both of those were way back in 2009.

Quite literally Hollywood is trying to make this guy a hit but he's not pulling it off no matter what they throw him in!

In all fairness, he wasn't wat killed green lantern, it was whoever made the film and its lousy plot. Guaranty you, replace him with Any other actor in that film, and it would still be shit...
And we know nothing of why this new movie is bad, so I'm mot going to jump to conclusion like most people on here seem to be.

Not saying that he's the best actor ever, but he isn't that bad. I'm sure he'd be great in deadpool, that's more of his kind of thing.

And people have to stop blaming him for Green Lantern being a failure, Green Lantern is no ones idea of a Superhero worth paying to see apart from the fanboys who still buy the silly comic. No Joe-average is gonna give a monkey's about a guy with a whole colour scheme based around green and yellow to define good and bad like some kindergarten logic and a magic ring that makes corny ass shapes in a fight.

Step outside of the stupid concept and see it for the cheese it really is, people don't give a frak about Green lantern!

All right, I was trying to give the kid a chance. But now it seems as though RR may be a bust. Looks like he's gonna be stuck doing R rated comedies and popcorn romances with Sandra Bullock. Someone please get this guy a clue!

And 4 years ago the average joe wouldn't give a shit bout a rich dude in a fancy hi-tech armour but they did. You can make any superhero property work you need the right people working on it but saying that how GL got a movie before Wonder Woman still baffles me.
