STAR WARS: Liam McIntyre On Playing Live-Action Versions Of RESISTANCE & FALLEN ORDER Villains - EXCLUSIVE

Talking to us about his role as Aquaman in Justice Society: World War II, Liam McIntyre (The Flash) revealed whether he'd play live-action versions of Star Wars villains Commander Pyre and Taron Malicos.

Justice Society: World War II arrives on streaming platforms on April 27th, 2021, and hits 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray and Blu-Ray on May 11th, 2021. This next entry in the DC Animated Universe sees The Flash thrust into the midst of an epic battle between Golden Age DC Super Heroes the Justice Society and Nazis for an adventure which definitely doesn't play out the way you might be expecting.

Liam McIntyre plays Aquaman in the movie, and believe us when we say that this is a take on the King of Atlantis you've never seen before. We'll have the full interview to share with you on Monday, but while we had The Flash alum on the phone, we had to ask about his Star Wars roles.

The actor played Commander Pyre in the Star Wars Resistance animated series, and Taron Malicos in Jedi: Fallen Order. Both characters are hugely popular, with that gold-clad Stormtrooper emerging as a villain who really struck a chord with fans. There's potential for him and Malicos to return in a future live-action movie or TV show, and no reason at all why McIntyre couldn't reprise the roles in that format.

We put that to the actor, and as you might expect, he's 100% open to returning if Lucasfilm calls.

"What kind of madman would be like, ‘Oh, what’s that? You want me to be in Star Wars? Nah, I’m alright, thanks,’" McIntyre joked. "Of course! We’ll see. That would be...it’s weird, it’s already a dream come true because what lucky son of a gun gets to say, ‘Which Star Wars character are you talking about?’ when you’re asked. The 10-year-old in me is like, ‘What are you talking about? You’re not going to get to do that!’ If they were to one day say, ‘Do you want to do this in another form?’ I’d be beyond excited. They have their visions, so we’ll see, but you never know."

It would definitely be surprising for Lucasfilm not to do something more with both characters moving forward (Malicos' time on Dathomir being explored is a must), but we'll have to wait and see.

I don’t think Resistance hit a cord with anyone. Easily the worst canon Star Wars TV show.

Fallen Order was great though. Really thought they did a good job with the story in that game

Also I think it’s really cool they are starting to base the designs of characters in video games and animated shows on their voice actors to give the option of bringing them into live-action. I think that’s a smart move for a multimedia franchise like Star Wars

@MrDandy - it's kind of a shame that Starkiller never made it into canon, if only so Sam Whitwers face was in star wars canon

Don't really see why or where they would bring him back. He was a great boss in Fallen Order, but I don't necessarily want to see him show up somewhere else.

McIntyre though can return anywhere. I really like him as a voice-actor, and it's a plus if he get's to show his face somewhere too.
