EW has debuted the first official teaser for War for The Planet of The Apes, and it gives us a glimpse of the series' simian protagonist, Caesar, who will return to lead his people into full-scale war against the humans.

The vid also features Caesar's final bit of dialogue from the previous film, as he urges Jason Clarke's Malcolm to get as far away from the inevitable battle as he can.

In ‘War for the Planet of the Apes,’ the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

These movies are some of the best things to happen to cinema in the last 10-15 years. The first wasn't the best movie ever, but the "NOOOO!!!!!!" scene, was intense, and it finished strong. Rise of the Planet of the Apes was an insane movie, special effects off the chain. Just so good...

One of the best rebooted franchises of all time. I really enjoyed the first two and I'm looking forward to this one. Caesar is a great character.
