JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION: Chris Pratt Says The Upcoming Threequel Is "The End Of This Franchise"

Jurassic World Dominion star Chris Pratt has hyped up the movie, saying that Colin Trevorrow's upcoming threequel is going to serve as the "end of this franchise" due to it being "very much a finale."

The Jurassic Park franchise may have ended on something of a disappointing note after a couple of underwhelming sequels, but the Jurassic World era has definitely helped restore the series' former glory. However, with its upcoming sixth chapter, Dominion, it appears this story is nearing its end.

"You know when you go to a fireworks display like the Fourth of July or New Years, there's always the finale? You're waiting for it, and then boom! And you're like, 'Oh! This is it! This is the finale!' I feel like the whole movie is that," star Chris Pratt shares in the video below. "It's...30 years in the making, it's the sixth Jurassic film, it's the end of this franchise."

"I really do think it's the end," he added when asked if Dominion is really going to wrap up the Jurassic movies for good. "You've got the legacy cast back - Sam Neil, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum plus the cast of Jurassic World all...converging in a way that is very much a finale."

Universal Pictures has nowhere near enough profitable franchises to shelve the Jurassic movies for too long, but we're guessing this means a complete overhaul is coming. That could result in stories set in the past or even post-apocalyptic tales in a world where dinosaurs rule. Whatever the case may be, what comes next is unlikely to be made clear until Dominion is released.

What we can say is that with the original and new cast uniting, the series will go out with a bang roar!

Jurassic World Dominion arrives in theaters on June 10.

With all due respect to Chris Pratt, but that's not happening. Movies at the end of the day are a business, and this franchise keeps churning money and they'll milk it till it's dry.

As much as these movies suck, they still make money, and Hollowood is a creative void that never turned down a dead horse they could beat for money. That said, all these years later, there has only been ONE good JP movie...the first one.

I feel like a tv series could be great for Jurassic Park, I'd love to see a HBO Max show, but Peacock is more likely.

I could see it being based on Jurassic Park, because there is still a lot that was never shown in the movies.

So getting to see the early days of Jurassic Park, like in the books would be cool to see.

@BlackIceJoe - They already made a Jurassic Park show.

It's called Westworld.

Joking aside, we do have that animated series on netflix.

Momentarily yeah, but I think Universal will find a way to continue the franchise somehow.

I do think that its good idea to stop making movies with the current cast of characters, but I don't mind it if they find an interest angle for a spin-off to explore.

I'm quite done with the franchise by now anyways.
The new trilogy was a mess, the first one was a best-of version of the original movie and the second one was just plain sh*t.

Added to that I'm just tired of Chris Pratt being in everything, can't stand his face anymore (aside from his religious beliefs, which I don't care for either but I can watch Tom Cruise films as well, so...)
