Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which has grossed around $1.2 billion at the box office, is already one of the year's biggest hits only a month into its run. Though the sequel may have been a divisive one, director J.A. Bayona's visual flair and talent for suspense is undeniable, something Universal will want you to remember when it hits shelves later this year.

Earlier today, the studio revealed their plans for home viewing, including release dates and the sequel's plentiful bonus features.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, like most films in the home release landscape, will hit on Digital HD first. On Movies Anywhere, iTunes, and other online digital outlets, the dinosaur spectacle will be released on September 4th. Following this, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, 3D Blu-Ray, and DVD copies will make their way into stores September 18th. Unfortunately, though it will be filled production material, Fallen Kingdom will not include any deleted scenes or commentaries.

Check out a preview and its cover art below. Furthermore, check out a list of its bonus features HERE.

One of the worst movies this summer for me.

@Edministrator - Man, this film was so bland. Last half made zero sense. I was cringing so much in the theater.

@Edministrator - it really wasn't that bad. I don't know where people getting their minds that Jurassic world was ever an artistic emotional masterpiece.

Great movie. One of the most entertaining this year. I’m looking forward to Colin Trevorrow coming back and finishing things out. I wish he could have given the fans a Star Wars with Hamill and classic Luke, but at least we’re getting a solid JW series.

It seems like the "horror" element has been missing from the "JURASSIC WORLD" movies.

It's nothing I'd fault the actors for but, if you go back and compare the cinematography and pacing of the original movies (mainly the first 2) to these films it's very different. They just aren't as appealing to me.

To anybody out there who's spent the last several months screaming and yelling about Last Jedi in the hopes that it would somehow result in Episode IX being better, I have something to tell you:

To borrow a quote from Brad Jones (AKA The Cinema Snob): this movie and Alien: Covenant are what tend to happen when you cartoonishly [frick]ing nitpick something to death, particularly when it's part of an established franchise. Because when the next one rolls around, you're NOT gonna get a movie that's BETTER, you're gonna get a movie that's WORSE. And DUMBER.

@MUTO123 - That could be said about WB's attempts to 'course-correct' their DC films late in production too.

That was tied directly to fan 'backlash'

@MUTO123 - Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom was not perfect, but it was still 100 times better than The Last Jedi. That was so poorly made, it can barely be called a film at all. I'd take multiple JW movies over another TLJ. At least JWFK is only mostly brain dead - not totally DOA like TLJ.

Jurassic Park is my all-time favorite childhood film. I can watch that movie a thousand times and still love it.

With that said, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom was trash. It felt like a movie written by a 7 year-old, smashing action figures together. It was like watching a Transformers sequel.

I liked this film (more than Jurassic World, even, which isn't saying much), but I have one main complaint:

I wish they would just embrace the craziness of the Jurassic 'World', instead of trying to science explain themselves out of stuff. I wanna see people getting munched by dinosaurs, dammit!

Other than that, I LOVED the horror elements in the second part of the film and can't help but wish that the first half reflected the second. I wish Bayona was coming back for the third installment, but I guess Trevorrow will do. I did not like Jurassic World.

I don’t understand how they can [frick] up a dinosaur movie, oh wait yeah I do, just hire Colin Trevorrow to be in charge!

No thanks, it looked great but the writing and plot twist at the end was just ass. And retconning site B was blasphemy. There are so many ways they could have done this movie. The best part was the first 15 minutes, then my brain turns on auto pilot for the rest lol

@MUTO123 - he did but on the website as a promotion for the movie, it states all dinosaurs were moved to Jurassic world. And now they're dead lol

It was a good movie. All your opinions are just as wrong as wrong can be.
