New Details On KING KONG VS. GODZILLA Including The Size Difference And Eventual Team-Up
We all have a lot of questions about how King Kong and Godzilla will be able to square off on the big screen when there's such a huge size difference, and we now have new details on that and more.
It was recently revealed that Legendary has moved Kong: Skull Island to Warner Bros. in order to build to a movie which will pit King Kong against Godzilla after the latter's sequel is released. The studio wasn't happy with references to "Monarch" (the secret government organisation that Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins were part of in Godzilla) in Kong's script, but that's obviously not going to be an issue now the project is no longer at Universal. The movies are clearly going to be set in the same world, but one problem the studio has is the size different between the two monsters.
"There were funny comments about him having to be the size of the Empire State Building instead of hanging off of it," one studio insider tells The Hollywood Reporter. However, the trade adds that a source close to Tull says, "Legendary is confident it can come up with a rationale to explain how Kong and Godzilla can do battle - and possibly become allies." Well, a team-up will certainly be interesting! How do you guys think they're going to tackle the size difference between King Kong and Godzilla? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts and theories below...
