Apple TV+ unleashed the first trailer for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (via SFFGazette.com), and with that comes confirmation the Godzilla spin-off will premiere on the streaming platform on November 17!
The other big surprise in this preview is the unexpected return of Kong: Skull Island's Bill Randa, the character played by John Goodman in the 2017 movie.
He was a senior official in Monarch and led the expedition to Kong's home; however, when we last saw Bill, it was in the jaws of a monstrous Skullcrawler, so we don't necessarily believe he's miraculously managed to survive that adventure (instead, these sequences are probably flashbacks).
Still, all signs point to the character being a key part of this series, with Kurt Russell's former Army Officer seemingly setting out to expose a long-kept secret which could change this world as we know it.
Elsewhere in the teaser, we see more of Godzilla and learn more about the impact the King of the Monsters has had on the world since first rising from the ocean's depths. There are other Titans here as well, suggesting Monarch will be pushed to its limits while trying to contain this deadly new threat to Earth.
As we're sure you'll remember, Monarch is the S.H.I.E.L.D.-like organisation tasked with keeping track of the world's Titans; they previously appeared in Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, and the upcoming Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

The dramatic saga - spanning three generations - reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives."
