Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures announced today that the sequel to Gareth Edwards' Godzilla will be released on June 8th, 2018. That's a four year gap between the first and second instalments, but the British filmmaker will of course be busy with his currently untitled Star Wars spin-off (that's set for release on December 16th, 2016(. His involvement was confirmed at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, and it was revealed at the time that the sequel would include some familiar monsters who would join Gozdilla in the sequel. Those have been confirmed as Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah! Of course, we'll still get our fix of monster movies in the meantime with King Kong reboot Skull Island in 2016 and Pacific Rim 2 in 2017. Godzilla has so far grossed $500 million worldwide and was well-received by critics. How do you guys feel about this news?
