However an inside source of ours in Hollywood is telling us it will be ’Dexter’ star Michael C. Hall. Call this a 75% likelihood of accuracy. Personally, I hope it is true because he is the much better fit.

Star of the hit Showtime series, Dexter is the next Robocop! Well, according to movie-moron.com it is. You can take it with a grain of salt of course, but they seem to feel pretty confident about.

Robocop which originally was directed by, Paul Verhoeven is a story about a cop, Alex Murphy, in a futuristic and unpleasant Detroit who is gravely injured while in the line of duty. He is resurrected through a advanced technological process that fuses so of his humanity with a machine, thus creating, Robocop.

The movie is one of my all time favorites and I'd be happy with Chris Pine in the lead, but I would be overjoyed to have Dexter serving and protecting Old Detroit.

What do you guys think?

Fun Fact: Peter Weller, who is the original Alex Murphy, appeared in season five of Dexter.
