Trailer Battle: ROBOCOP Vs. THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG

Yesterday saw the debut of the second trailer for the upcoming Robocop remake, and before that we had what is, presumably, the final trailer for the second Hobbit flick. Both very different types of movie, but which trailer did the best job of heightening your anticipation?

The latest Hobbit trailer that debuted the other day was by far our best glimpse at the movie yet, offering 3 minutes of mostly new footage and setting a slightly darker tone that we'd seen previously. The second full trailer for the Robocop remake also set the scene nicely, with some interesting opening dialogue from Samuel L. Jackson's character as he refers to Americans as "robophobic". The rest of the trailer had some nice action shots, but didn't really give us any fresh insight into the story or characters. Obviously these movies have barely anything in common, but at the end of the day a trailer's job is to get you excited for the movie..so which one do you think was most successful at doing that? Vote below and then sound off in the usual place.
