FAN MADE: Trailer For STAR WARS: EPISODE VII

FAN MADE: Trailer For STAR WARS: EPISODE VII

Like the fan-posters, these will likely be a dime a dozen soon - but this one is brilliantly put together. It uses the voicover and music form the Star Trek Into Darkness trailer, mixed with footage from the prequels and a couple of video games. Check it out..

This fan-made trailer for the new Star Wars flick combines the score, voiceover and overall tone of the trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness but most of the footage actually comes from The Force Unleashed and Old Republic video games. Some of the shots look a little out of whack and very obviously game graphics, but overall it works pretty well and is brilliantly edited together. Plus, who can resist the use of the classic Star Wars music at the end there. It gives me goosebumps when I hear that and allow myself to believe that we will actually be getting new Star Wars movies..that don't suck.

Also, here's another pretty cool fan-poster depicting the discovery of The Millennium Falcon. Where has she been? Who are those mysterious figures in the background? You decide.

LIGHTSABER SHOTS. And all the sources of the other footage are really obvious. Pretty lame trailer.

I hope for the love of God none of the future installments will be chalked full of dumbass lightsaber battles, but I know they will... Sad.

That old republic cinematic trailer is one mother[frick]ing badass battle scene of Jedi vs Sith, I hope J.j Abrams does this in episode 7

Yeah so there was lots of saber-fights. It's more of a teaser than trying to compile a story. Also..

WTF is wrong with lighsaber battles?? They were the highlights of those craptatsic prequels.

Episode 3 is better than Episode 6

Episodes 1 and 2 are okay films, but not nearly as bad people recite.

Bah

Yeah, Episode 3 was good, aside from some cheesy-a$$ dialogue throughout, but once Anakin turned things got juicy. But yeah, not better than ROTJ.

My order:
Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi

Revenge of the Sith
New Hope(Star Wars)

Phantom Menace (Only thing good was Pod-racing, Obi-Wan and Maul. Qui-Gon was alright only because it was Liam Neeson.)

Attack of the Clones (Jango Fett was the only good thing)

Not bad. Pains me a bit to see Old Republic, since my PC just isn't compatible... it looks like a dozen Darth Revans wearing Mandalorian-esque masks. Shame that KOTOR 3 will never ever happen.

One of the great things about the originals was that the lightsaber was sparsely used. Which made it more epic when they actually came out.

Ep. IV: Luke turns it on, Obi-Wan cuts off a hand, Obi-Wan vs Vader
Ep. V: Luke cuts his way out of the ice, Han uses it, Luke vs Vader
Ep. VI: Luke fights Jabba's gang, Luke uses it against the Biker Scout, Vader turns Luke's saber on, Luke vs Vader

The prequels: Some great battles, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gonn vs Maul, Anakin vs Obi-Wan, Yoda vs Palpatine, but it felt like lightsabers were used every other 10 minutes it felt like.

episode 3 is way better than 1 and 2
but Episode 5 and 6 are way more better
I doubt there's no more lightsaber battle in 7 coz people are stick on it, they won't recognize star wars episode 7 anymore without lightsabers
JDUKE25
JDUKE25 - 2/6/2013, 5:24 PM
@Durf and Reasonnnn yes, they're both close. It's not like I'm saying Ep.3 is better by a mile, just barely. Like I said, once Anakin turned to the dark side is when things got juicy and entertaining. Plus that opening space battle sequence was great. I'm sorry, but that opening was visually more appeasing than the one Destroyer going over your head.

There are things I liked better in Ep. 3 than I did in Ep. 4 and vice versa. But when it comes down to it, seeing Anakin turn to the dark side was just more entertaining.

Tainted87 - 2/6/2013, 5:27 PM
@JDUKE25
Whatever the reason for that (I think it's because the lightsaber effect during the originals was extremely hard to manage at the time), you're absolutely right. I especially loved the one in Return of the Jedi where Luke does his half-flip off the speeder, gets up, and the lightsaber is more like SNIKT, you know what I'm saying?

With the prequels, its like BECAUSE George could do it with ease, he decided to make them lightbulbs.

@JDUKE

I'll go ahead and say it of all the star wars movies, A NEW HOPE sits near last in enjoyment level for me. Don't get me wrong thought it was a great start to a great saga, but it just doesn't measure up to me the way ESB and ROTJ did. Then came the prequels; better effects, saber battles, and force usage. Besides the fact that the dialogue was a little dumb at times they made up for it in awesome battles and effects. My ranking.

ROTJ
TESB
ROTS
TPM
ANH
AOTC

JDUKE25
JDUKE25 - 2/6/2013, 5:33 PM
@Tainted yeah, I love in ROTJ when Luke and Vader are fighting and his does his acrobatic stuff and embarrasses Vader lol He's like, "Get ya some of that pops."

Still the best battle though^^^^^^^^

MarkCassidy - 2/6/2013, 5:34 PM
Was anything in ROTJ even close to being as laughable as this?

If no, your argument is invalid:)

I was looking for the "No, I love you" scene but couldn't find it. Look, bottom line is this: All the updated effects, lighsabers, space fights etc can't make up for the lousy shit that was going on all around it. The original movies weren't perfect either but at least they ATTEMPTED to be engaging, and succeeded most of the time. Those prequels were not made by anyone with any real artistic merit, and for no other reason than to shift merchandise.

A New Hope is still my favorite though. Empire Strikes Back, I don't know why, but once Luke finds Yoda, I fall asleep. It's a classic, and my second favorite, but yeah, it's plagued with down time. Of course, the end MORE THAN MAKES UP for it. It's like Bespin is where the movie gets a shot of adrenaline and never falls back down.
JDUKE25
JDUKE25 - 2/6/2013, 5:41 PM
@Ror agreed that some of the dialogue was extremely cheesy, but the Stormtroopers getting taken out by the Ewoks, with their sticks and rocks was a f***in joke.
