Anybody can tell you that when people think of the biggest blockbusters. Captain America Civil War, Avengers, The Dark Knight, AVATAR. Thats right, you would think not only making one but two of the biggest films of 20th & 21st century (including Titanic) one can't fathom the idea that he may actually dislike the biggest known box office smash of the past decade, STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. So what did Cameron think? In an interview with a film student, when asked how he felt about the newest Star Wars, his response was
"George Lucas is a friend of mine and he & I were having a conversation about it the other day. I don't want to say too much about the film, because I also have a lot of respect for J.J. Abrams." This is all he could of said, but no that would be too little. "I have to say that George's group of six films had more innovative visual imagination. The film was more of a retrenchment to things you had seen before and characters you had seen before and it took a few baby steps forward with new characters. For me, the jury's out. I want to see where they go with it.
Of course it does seem a little too salty, but one can probably agree with him on the soft reboot that is Force Awakens. What do you think? You think James Cameron is just being a little too salty here, or maybe he is telling some truth to his criticism towards the film?
