36-year-old actor, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, has been rumored to be in the mix for a part in the much anticipated film, Star Wars: Episode VII. Which role he was supposedly up for, was never revealed. Now, Entertainment Weekly has caught up with the Irish actor and asked him about those pesky Star Wars rumors.

brushes off the reports, telling EW that, for the moment at least, the Star Wars speculation is just that. “Look, I’ve worked with J.J.,” says Rhys Meyers, who co-starred in Abrams’ Mission: Impossible III in 2006. “But I don’t believe rumors.”

You can next see the actor, Oct. 25, when NBC' Dracula makes its premiere.
