Speaking to the BBC in London where Star Wars: Episode VII is shooting, Mark Hamill (and his "contractually obligated beard") discuss his return to the iconic role of Luke Skywalker. The actor praises the new cast, and reveals what an unexpected joy it was for him to return to the Star Wars universe. He also reveals that he wasn't on set for Harrison Ford's accident, but he hears he's doing fine. Click on the image below to check out the video interview.

I remember a behind the scenes video where some makeup artist were talking about the three points that make your face distinct from others, and they were freaking out because Ewan McGregor and Alec Guinness' points matched up almost perfectly and how McGregor matched his little nuances flawlessly.

Mark Hamill = coolest actor on the planet. Such a humble and giving guy towards his fans. Really hope he has a good amount of scene time in VII and that he's involved in VIII & IX.

If you don;t mind possible SPOILERS about how Ep. 7 begins then read on

I'm pretty sure he has a decent amount of screen-time considering the rumor floating around that the movie begins with Luke's hand being found holding his lightsaber and someone (unrevealed who) travels to return the lightsaber to it's original owner (Luke)

@cmay13 - The Joker did have a beard at one point in Kevin Smith's Batman story (I forget which one), though supposedly the colorist [frick]ed up because the Joker's beard ended up solid black, rather than green.
